Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is relevant as it covers all th key areas related to cyber security. It provides theoretical foundation but requires additional self learning and real world applications. Improvements can be done by adding more practical sessions and industry oriented tools. Exams are conducted through internal assessments and semester end exams with a moderate difficulty level.
Placement Experience
Placements in our college are quite decent. Students become eligible from 6th - 7th semester, with companies like Amazon, TCS, Infosys, Accenture and Wipro. The average package is around 7LPA. 75-90% students get placed on campus.
Fees and Financial Aid
I'm currently pursuing BE in CSE-CY, my overall experience has been good. The faculty are suportive and cover key concepts like network security and cryptography well, through some classes are theory-focused. Labs and infrastructure are decent but could use better tools and more updates. Students need to focus on skills, certifications and projects. The department does encourage participation in technical events and hackathons, which is helpfull for gaining practical exposure, Overall it provides a good foundation.
Campus Life
Campus life is quite engaging, with a good mix of academis and social activities. The college hosts annual cultural and technical fests. The library has a good amount of books and journals for both core subjects and research. Classrooms are equipped with basic facilities like projectors. There are various clubs, student groups and sports, wgich help students to stay active and improve both technical and social skills.
Admission
i choose this college for its Cyber Security specialization and affordable fees compared to other options. I had applied to a few other colleges, but cutoffs were higher or the course was not available. The admission process was simple, based on entrance exam scores(CET,COMEDK) and 10+2 eligibility, and overall the experience was smooth.
Faculty
The faculty in our department are generally knowledgable and supportive, with a decent faculty-to-student ratio that allows good interaction. Most professors are approachable and help clarifying doubts, though teaching methods can sometimes be more theory focused. The exam system includes internal assessments and semester exams with a moderate difficulty level.
Night Life
Nightlife is relatively calm but decent for students. The campus has fixed timings, with hostels and entry closing by late evening/night and facilities like the library, gym and cafeterias also close by late evening hours. Outside, areas around RR Nagar have cafes and small eateries where students can spend time. Overall, it offers a balanced and safe environment for student life.
