Course Curriculum Overview

5

There's nothing worse about our academics as law is tough and one has to be very serious or shut the other doors of distraction. We used to do intenrships in breaks and they are more than necessity as without them our course is of no use. Use law still requires conservativeness and conventional way of studying.

Internships Opportunities

5

University provides limited but still provides Internships opportunities to us. Mostly the law firms aa that is where we are supposedly intenr to learn most things which are done at the office. Real time court intenrships too ar provided but in initial part it is important to love drafting and doing law work from the office.

Placement Experience

5

Tatva Legal, Anz and many other law firms are probably the ones which takes around 100 students every year. Ever since corporate have joined hands 120 our of 200 students who pass every year do gets placements. Students have to apply for placements through college portal and after monitoring and checking if we are worthy we are allowed for the interviews.

Fees and Financial Aid

RGNUL fees is excellent and facilities and all are also much better than most NLUs. Our fees is less than 3 lakhs a year including both hostels and college fees. Hostels are mandatory just like every NLUs and mins you at less than 1.25 lakhs for that, we get best hostels and food and thus RGNUL strikes a gold when it comes to fees.

Campus Life

5

One will never miss home as here is so much to chill. Semester here are of just 4 months and then 2 months break. So moots, research week and classes ensures that students are never out of spiral. Without you knowing your semester ends and the facilities at the campus such as world class sports facilities from badminton court to snooker tables, I do miss them all the sports room stories once I leave the campus.

Hostel Facilities

5

Girls Hostel of RGNUL has single room facilities and attached washrooms facilities which most NLUs doesn't have. So, for that I think our girls hostel are just too good. Though I was not a Paratha fan early doors but now I like them as for breakfast we have them served atleast three to four times a week.

Admission

Admission in any NLU are a very big thing. Especially the general category students have to be in top 1000 to be in top 10 NLUs. I ranked 880 and GNLU which was my dream college just became a dream but then among the others, I felt RGNUL had better facilities and placements even if ranking is 9th.

Faculty

5

One should pay seperately to our professors to pay to study under them. They are Messi or Roger Federer of teaching. Their knowledge is immeasurable and some of the most iconic classes which they have taken have been now in my blood. We do have double the classes as nothing is bizzare about the way they go for studies.

Night Life

5

One can't abandon campus as Patiala has some really hangout places as it is also the educational capital of Punjab. We have Punjab's largest university in Thapar University and it is also close to our campus. So hanging out with students of other universities in tea stall next to the campus is my most joyous place to hangout.

Placement Experience:

This is a little vulnerable part of our university as placements aren't it's biggest strenth. A batch size of 300 and only half of ir finds placements from RGNUL. Yes around 40 odd firms have inked deals with RGNUL but still getting the desired results in favour of placements will take some time.

Around 60% students only gets direct placements from our college as ratio I hope gets better because as a top tier NLU i still feel the placements are still not that great. I hope that by the time our time comes ratio is 100% because after the judgement of 3 years practice for judiciary, I think it is inevitable to have a job.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is good as there are many subjects which are important from the point of view and law like sociology and political science and we also have a new subject UNGP which allows the students to know about UN helping them in public international law and internatinal law understanding. The curriculum might not help everyone in real life but the environment you get there and surviving there surely hell one in real life The recommendation from me to do improvements is in checkinh as many students get few marks initially but after revaluation they increases

We don't have a very good alumnus base, to be honest as most of the students choose PPOs or opt for higher studies abroad. Also, many students get placed in tier 2 law firms on an average package of 6-8 Lakhs. Others prefer to go for Judiciary
