- Our department (Department of Statistics) is established in 1954. The infrastructure is good .we have many classrooms for different different classes .
- We have a computer lab where the teachers teach us data analysis in Microsoft excel
- When the teachers are not available in the college they teach us through the Google meet .
Dislikes
- Sometimes The teachers are being rude to the students.
- They give 3-4 practicals 5days before the exams.
- The few lights and fans of the rooms are not working so we have to face some difficulty during summer.

Companies that have recruited or partnered with Cotton University include major names like TCS, RBI, HDFC, ICICI, Indian Oil, and FMCG companies, alongside various IT giants, with some also signing MoUs for industrial training like the Asrotex Group, focusing on placements and student development. IT Sector: TCS (Tata Consultancy Services), IT Giants. Banking/Finance: RBI (Reserve Bank of India), HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank. FMCG: FMCG companies. Energy: Indian Oil.
Fees and Financial Aid
In admission time we have to give 9050rs. And Per semester fees 3250rs + examination fees 1350rs. 1 year = 2 semesters = 3250×2 = 6500rs. We have 4years of graduation. So 4 years means 8 semesters. We have to give total of 9050+7×(3250+1350) = 41250 rs
Campus Life
There are many events held in our college . Each month there are some new events held . The biggest event of our college are CUSU election, Varsity week, General Freshers etc. Also each department has organized department freshers.
Admission
I have applied for other colleges like B borooah college, Gauhati college, Gauhati university. I got confirmed in B borooah and Gauhati colleges. But letter i was confirmed to in the Cotton University. Which was the best college of northeast so take admission in Cotton university.
Faculty
Each department has 20-30 teachers. Some teachers are very gentle but some of them are rude????. However everyone is good , they teaches us very well. The teachers have good relationship with the students. They told us to call them anytime when we have doubt about our subjects.
Night Life
The campus infrastructure supports student life with facilities such as a gym, cafeterias, library, and common public areas, where the gym and cafeterias generally operate during fixed morning and evening hours, the library remains open till evening on working days, and public areas close at designated times for safety and discipline. Hostel and campus timings are clearly defined, with regulated entry and exit hours at night and a fixed campus closing time, ensuring a secure and well-managed environment. Students commonly relax at popular hangout spots inside the campus such as the central lawn, food court, library surroundings, and student common areas, while outside the campus nearby cafés, local eateries, markets, and tea stalls are frequently visited. The surrounding locality is generally safe to roam around during evening and early night hours, especially in groups, making the overall campus experience balanced, secure, and supportive of both academic focus and social life.
