Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is relevant in the present times , for example in economics we study tax rates , governments , demand supply and everything which we can relate in day to day life . However as the world is eveolving there should be inclusion of topics related to data science AI and other progressive fields

Placement Experience

4

The placements of my college are good as far as i have heard with an average package of around 6-7 lakh per annum which is good considering the annual fee of 22,000 they charge . Apart from college placement DU has a brand value that attracts job offers and good one . Rest all depends on your skill set and what all you have to offer

Fees and Financial Aid

I pay an annual fee of ?22,000 for both even and odd semester, this is the fees paid by me as a general student which includes all kinds of fees . I am not aware of other fee structures for other category of students . Yes the fee has increased in the past years but still is very affordable and DU also has a fee waiver programme supporting weaker sections

Campus Life

5

I hae loved my 6 month of college life i've had till now , fests meeting new people , taking classes , eating out everything has a fun of it's own and i loveto experience it all . I've also heard that our annual fest ' nexus ' is one of the best abd gathers a large crowd . Sports and extracurricular activites are also great we have almost all sports facilities and different socities for everything

Admission

I chose this college over other colleges primarily for the brand value and image it carries and also because of how it promotes inclusion . I see and interact with different people from different backgrounds everyday, one from punjab one from kashmir one for bihar everyone carrying different stories different pasts and different experiences , i feel this is what makes this college stand out . I applied to other colleges like symbiosis and masters union but Delhi university though having a rigorous entrance test is worst the hustle

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio is around 27:1 in my college which is pretty decent . The faculty is very kind and always ready to help , they help by extending their support beyond college hours too , they are approachable and helpful. Commerce and economics faculties are very good and consist of several cool easy going fun teachers. There are semester end exams and some continuous assessments which are all very doable with studying the concept well. Less number of students only fail which have a chance to reappear for the exam in the subsequent semesters

Night Life

4

Not really aware of the nightlife around the college as i am a local student and live around 40 minutes from college but it is good and people enjoy the college nightlife there, satya niketan is a famous place people go to for hanging out and is like the hub there . It is also safe to roam there with a police booth just outside college

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .

I would say the placement opportunities are more available for science , commerce background students in the college there are rarely any placement opportunities for humanities background students . Mostly students starts engaging in placement in the fifth semester .severky companies visited campus every year including Deloitte , EY.TCS etc . Around 40 - 50 percent students from professional courses get the placement annually .even for the students not opting for placement the exposure n the strong alumni network of college help them secure good opportunities outside campus
