First SEM Experience

The curriculum includes all the important areas of different subjects. It is helping me to move towards my goals. The curriculum helps in translating theories into their practical relevance. The exam levels are also moderate not too tought and not too easy. Each topic in every subject is explained to it's depth. Every topic is suitable for advanced study and professional areas.

The college's placement cell collaborates with companies to provide suitable internships to the students. Wipro, Deloitte, Amazon, Google and many more companies provide internships for the students. The stipend is Rs 6000-10000 per month

Around 80-90% of the students get placed in my course. The average package is 3LPA - 5LPA. This college has a decent placement record. The highest package offered is 7.6LPA. Companies like Google , Deloitte , Amazon , Infosys , Wipro , etc. come to the campus to pick excellent students for their company. The college also has a dedicated placement cell which helps the students to prepare for placements.

My yearly fees is Rs 45885 and it is really affordable. They also a charge an examination fee of around Rs 3380 for every semester i.e. for six times for the whole course. I am not aware about the scholarships and didn't avail any.

The campus life is very lively. Most students hang in the grounds and canteens between classes and most of the time some or the other thing keeps happeing to entertain the students. The library is a silent place and also they provide all kinds of books for the students. The annual cultural fest was also held in which most colleges of Chandigarh took part and it created a very vibrant vibe for the students. Many clubs have been organised which keeps on organising various events including charity.

The admission process was easy and had to fill online form which was very convenient. My goal was to take admission in this college only and never thought of anything else and I was successful in doing so. The cutoff for my course i.e. BCom was around 96% this year. I scored 96.2% in 12th grade and during the admission process my merit became 104.2% because they gave 8% addition for Maths subject

The exam pattern is very easy and compatible, we need to attempt total eight questions out of which four of five marks each and four of fifteen marks each . We get a choice of attempting four out of six and two out of four questions. The course curriculum covers all the important areas required and also doesn't create a burden on students. The faculties are overall very supportive and friendly but yes some are strict but it works for clever and noisy students

Chandigarh is generally regarded as a safe place, and the college campus has the security guards at the main gates for the students safety. I am not a hostiler but listened all this from my friends. They feel safe moving around the neighbourhood over there but its always better to stay in groups.
