All you can know about JMC, DU

I want to build a career in accountancy and taxation. I initially planned to pursue Chartered Accountancy which really aligned with the syllabus of bcom hons. The teaching can be more practical in my opinion.

I don't know much about placements as a first year. But highest package is 23.5 LPA and median was 13 LPA. Companies visited were accenture, EY etc. the placement report for 2025 batch had not yet been uploaded on the website

The yearwise fees I pay is Rs. 28000. The breakup of tuition fee, caution fee, registeration fee, compulsory / lab was not given to us. A simple one time amount of 28K was taken. There are many scholarships available for students who have single parents, or their annual family income is less than 4LPA etc.

The annual event of JMC is MONTAGE, usually held in mid-February each year. Each society has their own flagship event ranging throughout the year. There are over 4000 books in the library. Almost all academic books are available in the college. Some classrooms have projectors and smartboards in them. There is football ground, basketball ground, and volleyball court. Apart from that we have chess team, basketball team, tennis team etc. I love how our college has clubs (societies) for almost everything- like Marketing, Corporate management, entrepreneurship cell, economics, poetry, animal welfare, social service, green society, HR, consulting, dance, music and sooo many others

I applied abroad to various universities. I got accepted to Kelly school of business, michigan state university, university of Waterloo and in India I got accepted to Symbiosis, Christ. I got rejected from IIM rohtak and IIM Jammu for the IPM program. The reason was very basic, because I did not prepare fully for IPMAT exam. The admission process of my college was facilitated by NTA. First I gave my CUET- got my rank adm score..according to that I was allocated jesus and Mary College in the first round. Then I did apply for upgrade but could not get an upgrade. Paid my fees after accepting the seat

Faculty is wonderful..they teach wonderfully. They use digital resources for more real time learning. I really like Ameeta Motwani ma'am, she takes ample time to teach accounts and clears all of our doubts. We don't have mid semester exams and only have end semester. So every year we only have 2 rounds of exams

There Is no on-campus hostel. The college closed around 5 pm. The gym and cafeteria are open until 4 pm. The library closes at 5 pm. Inside college the most famous hangout spot is the 'Bhelpuri CR' Outside campus, nearby places are SatyaNiketan, yashwant place and Diplomatic enclave.
