Remarks

As I mentioned above the university takes longer time to give results and certificates i dont why. And you will only suffer with this problem. But apart of this tooic no negative remarks you can say about this college.

Curriculum is great. Exam structure is 2 semester in 1 year. As iam an arts stream student it was not that tough to clear my papers but it will be tough for hons students whi are willing to take admission.

As its an govt college it does not provide internship.no it does not provide any placements or intern ship. If you are looking for a college where you want to get palcements after completing the studies then this is not for you.

the fees are not that expensive as its a government college so everyone can take admission. It doesnt matter from where you belong there are some scholarship criterua in the university if you need any help.

Our college provides only a scholarship to whom its much needed not for any other. And it does not offers any loan facility as its an governemnt college. If you want this kinds of facility then dont take admission here.

The college provides you basic extra curricular activities like there arrange some sports in an fixed season or time. The labs in this college are not that advanced. But you wilk get what you need to fullfill your study needs

Hostel Facilities

No i did not opted for hostel as i live in local area that is much close to my house. But as i know the hostell facility is also good in this college you can make a stay very comfotabely. The environment is very good also for girls.

yes they are very helpful As there you will get important tips from seniors. No ragging are allowed in this college and though never happen. You can rely about this thing if you want to take admission.

After higher secondary i got admission by form fillup online.the as procedure i followed all terms and cinditions and i got the admission in this college within a month of applying. And then they provide me all necessary things.

Maintanance is great. But there are some issues i have faced is that after completing my 1st year it took 6 months to get my marksheet. And any kind of notices take too much time to announce.the teachers system are good.

Presidency University: A hope of light but needs a lot of upgradation

Course Curriculum Overview:

The Department of Bengali is one of the oldest Bengali department in the state. It offers undergraduate honours and postgraduate courses. Recently, they have started PhD courses as well. The Bengali department is actively engaged in research in hot topics in literature. The curriculam of Presidency university is most diverse among all other University, colleges in the state. It begins with very basic topics at the first year and ends with very specific research level papers at the final year. The syllabus is so advance that bachelors students can compare themselves with the masters level students after completeing the course. I will mention the bachelor course curriculam in summary: Semester I- Prachin Bangla Sahitya O Bangalir Itihas sandhan, Bangla bhasar itihas o bhasatotto, Semester II- Prak chaitanya juger bangla sahityer itihas, Madhyajuger bangla sahityer itihas o kabyapath, Semester III- Shorosh o soptodosh shotabdir samaj: itihas o chaitanyadeb, Ashtadosh shatabdir samaj sangkriti, changa-alanlkar o prof sangsodhan, Semester IV- Adhunik juger udbhab, gadya o probondho sahitya, kabya-kabitae itihas, natoker itihas o rupbhed, Semester V- Bangla Upanyas, Bangla chotogolpo, Rabindranath, Semester VI- Unish o Bish shataker bangla samaj songskriti o sahitya, bhinna bhasar sahityer itihas o tar obhighat, bharatiya alangkar shatra, sahitya o shilpo. Other than these compulsory courses, there are lot of exceptional elective courses that attracted me more towards joining this prestigious university. Since Presidency University select specific students through their difficult entrance tests, the semester exams should not be difficult for the students, but there are some papers in the course which needs to delt with extra care and attention to get extra marks.

I love to read English and it's easy for me so that's why I choose it. There are a total of 50 students in this course. Our teachers are very helpful and talented and also support us. We have 2 semesters after 6 months in 1 year. Exams are comfortable for the students who study the subject. It is difficult for those who do not study.

Campus has good environment and faculties are supportive.

The college is at the middle of the town and location wise good thats why i chose it. It is one of the oldest college in my region also. There is no attendenc criteria.
