Likes

The campus is quite large with a vibrant environment.
It has good connectivity as it is near to metro station.
The college societies are very actively working

Dislikes

Academic block is decent but some buildings are old.
There is no hostel facility for students.
The college canteen food is very average.

Course Curriculum Overview

I would rate the course curriculum in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness as more than average. It prepares well for the real world but the syllabus could be revised. The course could have more emphasis on practicals than theory.

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 15000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Many companies such as KPMG, PwC, Accenture etc has taken interns from our college in the past. The highest stipend in the past was around 40000. The cell organises webinars, workshops and seminars to prepare students to maximize their chances.

Placement Experience

The placement cell of the college is quite active. Many companies in the past have recruited from the college with average package of 5-6lpa and highest being 35lpa. Aroumd 50-60% students appear to get the placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fees for the course is approximately 45000 where year wise breakup is 15000. The tuition fees does not include the caution fees, registration fees etc. There are many scholarship or financial aids for student such as sultan chand memorial scholarship.

Campus Life

The overall experience was quite good. The college comprises of friendly people and helpful faculties. The college clubs/socities are very active and interactive. The classrooms could have been better with an updated infrastructure.

Admission

I chose this college as it had a good Nirf rank and NAAC grade is also quite good. The college has good connectivity and the campus is vibrant. The admission was based on cuet scores then applying to common seat allocation system for allotment of college.

Faculty

The faculities are strong, experienced and very approachable. So far I ve liked the commerce faculties. The college follows nep system so the exams are moderate. Minimum 40% is required to pass but students must score minimum marks in both internal and external exams.

Night Life

As the college is situated on lodhi road, students often go to cultural hubs nearby. There are boutique cafes and bookstores where groups chill in the evening. Many good restraunts remain open in the nearby areas.

Yes our college provides placements to the student and the students who are in their final semester(6 semester) are eligible for the placement. The companies which comes to college are Kpmg, dillote, Ey, bain and company etc. The average package is around 9 lakh and the highest package is 36.5 lakh.

Students of 3rd semester become eligible for campus placements. Companies like pwc, EY, deloitte has visited our campus and offered packages according to the competency of student. 35-40% people do get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to move abroad and pursue ACCA.

Hansraj college- A blessing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is really relevant and comprehensive. For eg in bcom we study business law, company law, Human Resources management, marketing, financial and corporate accounting, finance, busines maths, stats, income tax, cost accounting, economics as ge so all these are really great well structureda and do have real life practical applications therefore i think my course is really very well aligned and comprehensive in terms of the business world.

Placement Experience:

The placements of hansraj college are the most talked about thing. Almost 80% students get placed each year with average package being 7-8 lpa and highest going upto 25lpa, which easily beats all undergraduate colleges of india. Students can sit for placements from 3rd year onwards. We have companies like mckinsey, deshaw etc.

A Worthwhile DU Experience

I applied to various colleges under Delhi University and got merit based admission in Dyal Singh College in English Hons programme in first cutoff. While in others, my admission was not confirmed basically because of the high cutoff like St. Stefan College etc. I am really glad to be admitted in this college which gave me many oppurtunities and a great faculty with wonderful campus. I applied for this college in first round of csas and freezed i didn't for any other college .The exam required for admission is CUET. my course is BSc physical science with chemistry and to be eligible for this course you need to have pcm in class 10+2.In cuet you need to give paper of pcm and a language is compulsory . Call of the Unbiased

Admissions are done through CUET UG and then CSAS counselling. The Science department of Dyal Singh College is one of the best in all of off-campus.
