Likes

I like the faculty. The teachers are pretty understanding and supportive.
The infrastructure is decent. Could be improved a bit though.
A secure environment. Metro station is at walking distance.

Dislikes

I feel like infrastructure could be improved.
Sanitary products and medical rooms should be there

Course Curriculum Overview

I want to pursue research. This course would help me get there. The curriculum is well versed with what I want to pursue. The only thing that could improve is more lab classes and practical knowledge.

Class Size: 50Course Fees: INR 16360 per year

Placement Experience

2nd and 3rd semester students become pretty eligible for placements and internships via placement cell or other sources. My plans after my degree are still academic. I want to complete my MSc and Phd from well acknowledged universities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Course Fee- 16360 Decent for a course like life science. Labs are also decent and so is the infrastructure. Very affordable and tuition fee is also not too high. Compared to other colleges, the fee structure is decent.

Campus Life

The library is very accessible and big. It is not lacking in any sense. It has air conditioners and a quiet environment. It has to be my favourite campus part. The socities are very active and thriving. I amd a part of three.

Admission

I applied to Xavier's and Mount Carmel. I did get confirmation from Mount Carmel but due to it being in an entirely different state I had to surrender to the idea of choosing Delhi University.The admission process is entirely CUET affiliated and not complex at all.

Faculty

The admin block and faculty and really amiable and approachable. The admin block is very accessible, just by the gate and is open whenever you visit. I like Ms. Kalawati ma'am the most. She seems very approachable and kind. There is no such faculty I did not like. They are all hardworking and present.

Night Life

The night life is very safe since the metro station is in proximity. I have never stayed back for long but it seems safe and security is also present. I would give it a pretty good rating. A very secure environment.

Hansraj College: A 3 Dimensional Review

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of Hansraj College is quite active. You are eligible to sit for campus placement offers from 5th semester onwards. Companies like Deloitte, capgemini arw frequent recruiters for several posts and positions. The highest offered package is somewhere around 22000 with the average being at 700000-800000. Not all students get placed on campus, however thr hands on training and learning makes you industry ready, making you eligible amd worthy to apply for off campus placement opportunities. Many students prefer not to sit for campus placements and rather opt for higher studies after graduation. I plan to do the same after getting my undergraduate degree.

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. Life in RAMJAS

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. Practical components help in developing and understanding concepts more clearly. However, real world applications is limited. Curriculum prepare students well for further academics for PG or other competitive exams. Exam system is conducted at regular intervals with Internal assessment and semester end. Timings are appropriate . Difficulty level is moderate to high.

Strong academics, vibrant fests and supportive campus life at Hindu College

Course Curriculum Overview:

For B.Sc (Hons) Mathematics at Hindu College, the curriculum follows the latest DU UGCF?2022 structure, so it covers both strong theory and some modern applications. The main reason to choose this course is the depth in core areas like Calculus, Algebra, Real Analysis, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Probability, which builds a very solid base for higher studies like M.Sc, data science or research. There are six semesters with continuous internal assessment plus end?semester exams, so students study regularly instead of only before finals. Exams are usually moderate to difficult because questions are concept?based, but the pattern is fair and gives weightage to assignments, tutorials and attendance. Overall, the course is quite comprehensive and relevant for careers in teaching, analytics, government exams and higher academics, though adding more practical projects, programming and real?life modelling could make it even more industry?oriented

A Worthwhile DU Experience

I applied to various colleges under Delhi University and got merit based admission in Dyal Singh College in English Hons programme in first cutoff. While in others, my admission was not confirmed basically because of the high cutoff like St. Stefan College etc. I am really glad to be admitted in this college which gave me many oppurtunities and a great faculty with wonderful campus. Call of the Unbiased

Admissions are done through CUET UG and then CSAS counselling. The Science department of Dyal Singh College is one of the best in all of off-campus.
