Course Curriculum Overview

5

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course is a professional course which focuses on the overall development of the student. The course helps students not only learn more about medical science, but also grooms their personality as they will be serving their community after completing the course. The college faculty members also helps students in this regard.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fees for MBBS is Rs. 31,340 for the first year and approximately Rs. 26000 for the subsequent years. This includes all including tuition fees, admission charges, university development charges, etc. The fee is very less as compared to other colleges.

Campus Life

4

Our college annual fest is AURUM (med fest of UCMS) and Ripple. There are various societies in which you could indulge for extracurricular activities like LitSoc (literary society), Manchayan (drama society), etc. Societies provide you a wide exposure to extra curricular activities.

Hostel Facilities

3

In hostel, you will get one almirah, one table, one chair and one bed. Mattresses are not provided. Only one tubelight is provided however you can also use your own led bulb. Mess food is fine as compared to other private hostels and can be manageable. You have to submit hostel form in the office for getting a room allotted.

Admission

I chose this college because it is one of the best NIRF ranked institutes of the country. Other factors includes- the distance from my hometown, less fees and greater ranking. Admission to MBBS course is given on the basis of NEET UG rank.

Faculty

5

Faculty members are excellent. Most of them are holding MBBS degree and some are PhD holders. They have good knowledge in their respective fields. The exams are also frequently held. Small tests are held every month and terms exams after every 3 months.

Night Life

4

The hostel timings apply for the first year MBBS students. Hostel gate closes at 10 P.M. in the night. Reading room is available 24 hours for all students irrespective of their year of study. The Cannaught Place is 30 minutes away from the college by metro which is a great place for parties!

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum suggesteg by the national medical council is strictly followed in the Lady Hardinge Medical College and hospital and the curriculum is quite student friendly The clinical postings start from the decision year itself which makes your interest for the subject grow even more . Your final year subjects also start from the second year itself. What I'll like to suggest is there must be more if small group discussions and interactive sessions. The exams are moderately difficult. There are two term examination , one sent ups and then finally one professional examinations ( finals) each year . You need to get through all to reach the final year
