Course Curriculum Overview

4

The theory is good enough but self learning is important and the practical exposure needs to be gather by oneself. There are spelling errors and the curriculum is not sometimes uptodate with any latest updates

Fees and Financial Aid

5,200 to 5,600 depending on additional charges for offline study material. Also the registration fees and exam fees during practicals are additional. The fees depends on the course selected however it is affordable. There are many financial aid services provided by them but I am not aware of it completely.

Campus Life

2

No events for distance education students as ther are called only for mandatory classes attendance. However there is a college library to access resources. The extra activities are done in regular college

Admission

The student must be 12th pass with some minimum percentage criteria and upload all mandatory documents online and the confirmation mail for your admission will be sent to the email. There are no such entrance exams to pursue any course.

Faculty

3

The exams are conducted in two cycles in June and December however the subject varies with the course selected. The difficult level is moderate and many students manage to pass the exams. The relevancy pf this material is much better than various private institutes too.

Night Life

1

The college campus is for the regular college which is overall good and there is presence of library too for resources availability and an canteen with okayish food to eat. However no requirement of hostels as students can travel from wherever they are just to attend the lectures.

Placement Experience:

Campus Placements are competitive and hard to get. Usually multiple offers are limited to few disciplines such as Commerce or economics. While many arts students usually dont sit for placements in that high a number. Highest packages have gone upto around 45LPA, while average package remains somewhere around 12-14 LPA While companies such as BCG,. mckinsey etc do visit campus and as I said- they are more economics and commerce oriented but other discipline students also get placed- just not in these high numbers. Usually around 8-9 GPA is a good score for placemets. The employability is good in the market as the college does have strong Alumni Network and also is a recognised and reputed name in the job market.

You name a sector and you will find that making its way in DTU. From finance the top company JP Morgan comes here, from pain sector but Asian Paints and Berger Paints are here from IT sector, TCS and Infosys are here. Hence, if one needs to work in best of companies of any sector, I think only DTU can help them get there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course mainly because I did not have many strong options at the time but I wanted to study in a good North Campus college and Daulat Ram College was one of my best opportunities I also have a genuine interest in music so this combination felt suitable for me The course curriculum is fairly comprehensive especially in NHE which is very practical I have learned useful things related to diet planning body requirements and basic nutrition which can actually be applied in real life I feel I can find a decent job related to this field though I do not have very high expectations in terms of salary At the same time the course has its limitations Being a BA degree it does not carry much weight in the medical or health sector especially if someone plans to continue till the fourth year I feel this course should be converted entirely into a BSc degree for better recognition and career value Teaching methods are mostly theory based but NHE practicals are engaging and useful Exams are not very difficult honestly If you have basic practical knowledge about the human body nutrition and diet planning you can pass comfortably Most exams focus on how well you present answers rather than extreme depth The exam frequency is not very manageable with ia , ca , presentations and end semester exams each semester
