DTU is a committed university!

For Economics Hons, one needs to have studied economics as otherwise it becomes very difficult at times because our course is tough and also it takes a while to sink in. Second year onwards the difficulty has increased but our faculties and all are quite supportive. So, on whole it has been a ride of a life so far.

Consulting groups lead the charge currently with companies like BCG and others do hire 6-10 students every semester from our campus for intenrships. Besides them the Sleep Company and others too provide us intenrships with a stipend worth 10 to 40k.

From top consulting groups like Boston Consulting Group to Bain & Co all of them come to our college for placements. Nearly 90% of students from BBA and Economics (Hons) are placed as DTU provides on and average 5-7 lakhs placements to its students.

DTU has an economics course which is best as USME the college of DTU under which our classes are held is top ranked college of DTU. Our fees is slightly higher than DU colleges or let's say 3-4x of what they charge. Our fees is 1.16 lakhs a year and it has increased by 10k every year. So when I joined it was 1.06 lakhs.

DTU East campus is small as there are two buildings, a lawn, and a small parking area. So, the buildings have library on the first floor and then we have an auditorium and a games room. Lawn is used for playing volleyball but not many play. Our campus also have started hosting events since last few years but DTU main fest which is Engie Fest is still celebrated at the main campus.

Admission in DTU are through an entrance which then leads to counselling. Only 180 seats for both course or USME and they are Economics (Hons) and BBA (Hons). So for 360 seats combined around thousands and thousands of students compete for that.

Exams are tough at DTU and therefore even after studying for long hours and even consulting with teachers every now and then. One thing that our faculties never gets irritated even after we do this to them. So for their perseverance and commitment I am all in for them. Our faculty Tanisha Dalal is my favourite.

Vivek Vihar is where east campus is located. It isn't the most peaceful or playful area to hangout and therefore India Gate which is small metro ride is where we hang out often. Some gardens and cafes are there near our university east campus but I have hardly explored them.
