- independent life..it teaches you how to live on your own unlike other private colleges where things are spoon feed like placement prep
- Less fees ..obviously it reduces a lot of pressure in life...where a good private colleges would cost 6lakh -8 lakh ..here it's around 2 Lakh for 4 years at worst case
- Faculties are very friendly and helpful and clarify your doubts whenever needed
Dislikes
- Worst hostel...ever ..it's really tough to adjust
- Minimum level of infrastructure in the college...not advanced
- The food is also very poor in the mess and canteen
Course Curriculum Overview
The difficulty of the exams are easy to medium level..as one can easily get pass mark by studying for 2-3 days per subject But to get good grades its very tough as the college fellows relative grading system..some one has to get 6 grade point for someone to get 10 grade point.
Placement Experience
The placement is decreasing year by year only around 30 student placed in IT and CS (note 20 has arreres in each CS and IT in final semester so only 40 students are eligible) It's getting worst and worst for other departments As far as I can remember my deparmenta hightes package was ZOHO 9lakh.. I would estimate average package of my department would be 4lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
The lowest tution college you can get is government colleges in taminadu The top government college is coimbatore The fee is very less 10000-15000 per year Hostel fee is 10000 Ness fee per month is 2300 There are lot of scholarship helps from alumini and also you can get community scholarship if possible
Campus Life
There are 1 college fest per year and ...department fest are 1 per semester for every department In 2024 I can't believe it..The wifi network is not fully covered in campus and hostel... There are lots of clubs and groups in college it was mandatory for us to work in clubs and get 100 points in all 4 years combined (1 point is 2 hrs of work )
Admission
My cutoff was 189.5 in 2020 i( my rank in TNEA counselling was 3000ish) I am a BC student in tamilnadu...i tried for all good college in tamilnadu like CEG,MIT,PSG,SSN ...my prediction was I would get CIT..but i missed it with 0.5 cutoff Note I didn't apply for PSG iTECH..
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is 8:60 which is simplified to 2:15 The curriculum is very revelenet and updates every 4 years ...student can also provide their input(after analysis ) in the updated curriculum There are 3 unit test , 3 quiz,3 assignment in 2020-2024 batch....now about 2 unit test are there is guess..(not sure)
Interview Experience
No I have never faced a GD or any kind of interview for the admission of the college This college accept only based on MERIT and no management seats for this as this is a government college affiliated to Anna University
Night Life
College timing is 9 to 4 Hostel is very liberal for boys..gate closes at 10 pm Hostel is very strict for girls it's mandatory to come to hostel before 6 ..they can't go outside without permission from warden
