The sports activities of college are good but need to be improved

Course Curriculum Overview

the exams are collected in every six months almost a semester. i personally have choosen this course as i was interested in this ,the education system of this college and the infrastructure was marvellous

Campus Life

There is a whole big library for students inside the college premises with availability of every book of every subject where students can enjoy their studies, but the technology provided for students inside the class is not same for every stream

Admission

My subjects were Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry, in B.sc Non Medical. and this combination was offered by a very few colleges of the UT. Moreover the college reputation and history made me to get the admission in this college

Faculty

The student teacher ratio on islamia College of science and commerce is although good ,all the faculty members are highly educated and experienced. There is not a valid reason for disliking any teacher on their teaching basis

Night Life

Nightlife in Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir is although calm and peaceful, one can study and achieve his goals easily in exam times as there is almost zero noise in college atmosphere. the gym, cafeteria and public area has timings of 9-6 everyday

Overall a good University with below average placements.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placemnt after third year. total 8 companies from local Food and beverage companies and agriculture related companie came for campus placements. Most of the student didnt take offers from the companies because none of the companies were offering more than 15k to 18k per month I also didnt take the placement offer for the same reason and now i am thinking for further studies from somewhere that have good placements Out of 23 students who were eligible for placements only 3 accepted the offer.

The curriculum provides me with Whatever is sufficient in my course and whatever knowledge I need, I will have more than that. I chose science-non medical subjects being MATHS, GEOGRAPHY, and GEOLOGY. Reasons are my interest and love for these subjects. Class students and teachers ratio is good: 40-1. Teachers' qualifications are also good: MSc, Ph.D., NET qualified. Our exams were semester-wise [once in six months]. it was easy to pass if you just study normal and attend classes.

A Good College Even though the college life seems like a fairy-tale to you, it is not.
