Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is quite well maintained till 3rd year but the final year syllabus is too vast to complete within 1 year. I feel duration has to be increased a bit. The process of acquiring knowledge entirely depends on the individual pursuing this course as there is no spoonfeeding as in other courses.

Internships Opportunities

4

Every student has to complete a mandatory rotatory internship of 1 year after completion of the course. It's not optional. Basically students are divided into groups and duties are assigned to them across every department present in our hospital.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course fee for MBBS is Rs 9000/ year and Rs 3000 has to be deposited at the time of admission as security deposit. It is fixed and there is no rise or fall in the fees. It's the same in entire West Bengal.

Campus Life

4

Our annual college fest 'Kaizma' is held in September . There are various events that are conducted during the fest including indoor and outdoor games. Out college teams participate in various events organised by other colleges. We have a well equipped Library as well in our college academic building with all the necessary books and seating facilities are also available.

Hostel Facilities

5

The hostel rooms are shared by 2 students in the junior hostel and single rooms are provided in the senior, intern and dnb hostels. The college provides a bed, chair, study table and an almirah to each student at the time of hostel allocation.

Admission

Basically apart from JNM I had applied for the 5 colleges in Kolkata. But my rank was not good enough to get into those colleges. But still happy to have got admitted to JNM.The admission is strictly through the NEET Exam. The admission experience at the college was good.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are great. The faculty student relationship depends on how one interacts with the professors. There are a total of 9 semesters in the MBBS curriculum. There are regular PCTs and vivas taken during the course.

Interview Experience

4

The admission is strictly based on NEET score. There is no separate admission test or interview taken. Students just have to carry the necessary documents and report to the allotted institute and after all kinds of verification admission is granted.

Night Life

4

There are many gyms, cafeterias and open areas for recreational activities around the college and hostel campus. There are no hostel and campus in timings. There are various resturants close to the campus and are accessible easily.
