- The college has good faculties and it has good environment for studying,
- It has good infrastructure and recently the infrastructure is being upgraded
- It has good sporty environment students play football , cricket , volley and badminton regularly
Dislikes
- The college is in the middle of fields , it would have been better if it was surrounded by markets place
- It has strict restrictions for hostellers , for going out you must have a gatepass and you cannot take it everyday only twice a week normally
- The patient inflow is low so the exposure for the students is not adequate.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course is 4+1 years , it has a yearly university exams while in other courses even in the mbbs there is semester based exams . Recently it has been heard that it will also follow the mbbs pattern of 5.5 year course and will include other extra subjects it would be good for the students.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides one year of internship after final year, the students can also opt for externship at other colleges . The patient inflow is not adequate but the interns can learn the basics of dentistry easily here
Fees and Financial Aid
Per year tution fees was 2,12,309 for our batch , now it has been decreased to 2 lakh per year . The college doesn't provide any scholarships but you can enroll into any central scholarship programs .
Campus Life
Yearly one annual festival on the occasion of farewell of interns is conducted every year and apart from that at the time of Ganesh puja sports and other cultures programs are conducted . The college has a library with wide range of books and students can easily access them . All the class rooms have projectors and sound system.
Hostel Facilities
The boys hostel has twin sharable rooms while the girls have triple sharing rooms . The hostel has centralised air cooler and water purifier at every floor. The canteen provides only vegetarian food and the quality is average.
Admission
I opted for this college as the fee structure is affordable . It has good infrastructure and faculties . In Chattisgarh there are 5 other private dental colleges in my opinion this college is at 3rd place in overall study and clinical exposure.
Faculty
The Course BDS is for 4 + 1 years with 1 year of internship . With preclinicals in 1st and 2nd year and clinical postings from 3rd year. The college conducts 3 internal examination per year . The faculties are good and the college has good studying environment
Night Life
The boys hostel has a gym , anyone can access it at anytime . The college doesn't have any cafeteria in the campus . The campus is very safe with gaurds at the gates and it is safe to roam around at night. The students going out must come back to the hostel before 9 pm .
