Course Curriculum Overview

5

Political Science and Hindi, both of them are my forte and the reason why I have chosen B.A Program is because both of them are in my electives and I am studying them both. Some students have the option of studying Sanskrit or German but I always wanted to have the best command on our national language, Hindi and hence I chose this course.

Internships Opportunities

5

Manh companies like ITC and HUL and even banks from HDFC to Icici and even media houses come for internships. Mostly dusring the end semester we are offered those internships and I am happy that even a stipend upto 20k is offered after students of second year do internships.

Placement Experience

5

Mang companies as I already in the likes part told that our internship cell, and placements cell both have ensured that everyone has the placements. From Journalist to be an economists, our college provide us job to contribute in many sector companies that comes at our campus for recruitment.

Fees and Financial Aid

DU is best because it provides the top courses at the cheapest of fees. Ba program at Gargi costs me or any general category students just 19000 a year. SC/ST students get scholarship and therefore they done have to pay a single rupee in the form of tuition fees and what they are left to pay is around 4000 a year.

Campus Life

5

Green Park Metro station is at walking distance from our college and it's so good that our campus has enough greenery and machinery in sports to make sure, we don't have to step out for anything. We have an auditorium which hosts event almost every month. We have an annual fest called Reverie and entire campus is lighted like it's a wedding floor.

Admission

In January the forms for CUET are out and we all have to fill them, whoever wants admission in DU. It's really sad that cut-off for reserved students is 610-620 while for general category students like me has to score in access of 765 to get admission for any courses in Gargi. I had that score and therefore I got admissions here and could get to my first choice college LSR.

Faculty

5

Exams difficulty in DU is out of question as students here have to study a lot as Du faculties set the papers. Our faculty though know mostly on what and how we should prepare for exams so beforehand, we are taught on how and what we should prepare. So, thanks to most of our faculties and especially to Anita Mam, as she is a pioneer.

Night Life

5

Our college is not in any of the campuses and therefore we don't have any college area apart from KNC college of Delhi but we have many eating joints and even multiplex close to our campus as Ansal Plaza Complex is right next to our college.

Other Applied Colleges

Placement Experience:

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Many companies come as ever since USME has been installed at the east campus the tie-ups with the brands happened before that. So we were etaught accordingly the war corporate wanted us and that is how this has been done with solid precision and thus our placements have never jolted.

Campus placements have been good from what I have noticed this year. BBA and BAE students get almost the same packages and same companies hire the students. Average package for BAE students is 5.5 Lakhs and for BBA it's a little high at 6 lakhs or so.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Too vague to understand, feels extra burden of unnecessary irrelevant topics , extra papers like SEC/VAC simply add to the burden while barely providing with any skills and values as their name suggests . Studying them and preparing for exams add extra stress and unnecessary burden on them , diverting their focus from their core papers , which are already too huge and they study materials or readings simply fail to assist . Areas for improvement would be - proper structured study materials , also proper structured practical subjects / papers for students where they can actually learn or gain knowledge/skills which will be advantageous in their future .
