An overall review of psychology department in SDM PG centre, ujire

I would rate it 4.5 out of 5 because it includes all relevant topics which are necessary for both counselling field and clinical field The psychology course here offers specialization in both counselling and clinical both fields that's why I chose this The carriculam is contains relevant topics, every subject has practical aspect to it, syllabus covers all of the psychology concepts which are necessary 2 internal are conducted and final sem exam in the end , with moderate level of difficulty questions

*psychology department provide you with internship opportunities, we have to select the place we are doing internship in every semester holidays, they'll provide you a letter and send request email to particular institutions *There's research dissertation project in 3/4th semester, they give to training for research and journal article review etc

*For the course of 2 years, we'll be paying 50,000 per year, 50,000 for one more year. *So, basically it cost 1 lakh for whole course, which includes tution fees, admission fees, lab fees, and other charges This is for the general category. There's a scholarship given by the SDM organisation for all the first year students who apply based on their previous academic performance etc..

* Campus is good and has all the infrastructure, there are smart boards in every class, and there are audio visual rooms as well *The department wise fests are conducted, symposium was conducted 2022-23, international seminar 2024 was also conducted from psychology department *The college library is in PG campus and the main SDM library is in UG campus has a lot of books of all variety and subject The SDMCU library, the powerhouse of the institution, is a pride of our college. Our library is housed in a state of art 11,860 sq.ft building with all modern amenities and facilities having a seating capacity of 400 users. A well stacked collection of 1,10,806 books, 145 journals and periodicals which include rare books, thesis, dissertation, bound volumes of journals, student research projects, American library article collections, book bank books, departmental annual reports and non book materials like E-journals, E-books, and CAL packages which will be open for 365 days of year * A lot of support is for students in sports, lot of sports events are conducted, there's vast ground and swimming poll and gym as well *In PG college there's a there associatins or clubs run by the each department, there's PEACE association/club run by psychology department. *there's student space where there's a complete information about a student, including their marks, attendance, library hours, it's access and password is given to student itself.

*hostel gives good facilities for the 31000 we pay There's hot water facility 24×7, cold,hot filtered drinking water, small gym in the hostel * In hostel there are 4,3,2 sharing rooms, two sharing rooms have attached bathroom and rest of rooms have common bathrooms, which are clean *In room they provide you with a cot, bed, table, chair, cupboard, and small rack shelf to keep books and all and a table light , there are minimum 3-2 ceiling fans in every room. *In the hostel they'll give you pillow, bedsheets, blanket, plate, bucket etc. *There few PG's in ujire, which you can opt apart from hostel

I chose this college because, The psychology department has long history here, was established in 1999, and is affordable compared to other college fees, It's more systematic and disciplined than other colleges, and has experienced staff I had applied for jain university and did not go there because of lack of good reviews from other Eligibility • 45% marks in optional Psychology at the bachelor's degree (40% for SC/ST/Category-l candidates) Duration of the Programme Two years comprising of 4 semesters with CBCS Scheme

As of now there are 5 teaching staff in the psychology department of psychology in PG The lecturers are very friendly, supportive. The faculties are : Ashwini H, Ashwini Shetty, Mahesh Babu, sindhu V, Ramya, all of them are very good and supportive, teach well The exam difficulty is moderate level, can be passed if we study well, the syllabus is relevant to carriculam, it's includes both theory and practical In it

There isn't much to hangout because ujire is a small town, there are few cafes near by, there's a cafe coffee day infront of college itself and few good restaurants and cafes are there, only for girls who are staying in hostel, 5.30-6 pm is the intime, *There's a gym and swimming pool near the auditorium, library closes around 8.30 pm , public places closes at 10 Pm usually *For girls hostel the intime is 5.30-6 pm and there's exception if we are going to library For boys the intime is 9 to 10 pm
