Likes

Most of The teachers are amazing friendly and they teach well
Campus is ok at best no playground or anything but alright
Food is amazing the course structure is good

Dislikes

The fuss over attendence over 14 days of leave over a semester = get debarred
Gate closes at 9 30 and wont stay oepn for even a sec no matter if there is 1 student outside or 1000
The amount of pressure put is unnecessary and syllabus is extremly huge

Course Curriculum Overview

I alwyas wanted to be an engineer so i decided to choose this college if only the syllabus was managebale and pressure was a little lower everything would be amazing the exams are extremly frequesnt its like term 1 ends and you have to get ready cuz term 2 is in 2 to 3 weeks and as soon as term 2 ends youe sem starts

Internships Opportunities

I recently completed an internship from malware as a junior python developer and also made a huge impact in various projects in my current company sv or smart value where i am a buisness analyst which i am getting a stipend of 4k per month

Placement Experience

At the end of 3rd year people can start to get placement there are a lot of companies like tcs,wipro,cognizant 80% of the students get placed after i get my degree i hope to crack mtech or upsc as i want to go to upsc.

Fees and Financial Aid

Per semster fees is 85600 and only at the time of 1st year 1st sem they charge 120000 you can applly and get various scholarships like svmcm and student credit card bank loans are also alloweed all the dpet have same fees structure

Campus Life

There a lot of clubs in college like gymkhana gdg ecstatia ureckon sports club various sports are played including table tennis chess badminton cricket football basketball facilites are amazing various books related to study are provided

Admission

I only wanted to get in this college as this was one of the best colleges in kolkata and the placement was also very decent and people gave good reviews about this college. The people are amazing all around this college

Faculty

Every 20 students has 1 mentor for them that help them for their problems they are extremly friendly and solve problems for the students i especially like subhojit sir avijit sir jayanta sir and a lot of tecahers cant specify them all there are 3 exams in total in a semster :- tem 1 term 2 and final sem

Night Life

There are some malls and attractions nearby to the college i cant say much about hostel as i am not in hostel or pgs but biswa bangla and axis mall is nearby they ar ejust amazing spots for visiting and having fun

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

If frustration would have a definition.

If you want to join ths college you have give IEMJEE (their own admission exam) or through WBJEE Exam. But don't worry pal half of it's admission is done by management quota and rest of the seat is seal by external broker.
