- The best thing here is FFCS(Fully flexible credit system) in which you can choose at what time you want to take class by which teacher and which subject. In simple terms you can make your own time table.
- There are 80 clubs in total. You can participate in so much extracurricular activities according to your interest.
- Here you can see student from almost every state, therefore you will witness diverse culture here.
Dislikes
- The college is too far from the city. It is 70 km away from the Bhopal.
- Due to it's location it is too hot in summers.
- Because the college is newly established, some part of the college is under construction.
Course Curriculum Overview
My branch is BTech in Artificial intelligence and Machine learning. In my curriculum coding is introduced in second semester which is good. In First semeseter we learned all the funcamentals in AIML. Some course are fliiped course in which both online and offline classes are available. Mid term exams usually conducted in the 2 months from the semester begins and Term-exams in the end of semester. There are tutorials on chapter basis which is kind of class test for internals.
Internships Opportunities
I am a first year student so I listened from seniors that College help a little bit for getting itnernships. Companies like Microsoft, TCS, Wipro offers software developer intern, Data science Intern, Business analyst Intern and R&D Intern post to students.
Placement Experience
Placements are quite good here. Fourth year is full reserved for placements. Whole You can apply in various companie who are visiting college. Last year the highest placement was INR 59 Lpa offered by Microsoft and the average package was somewhere around 7 Lpa to 8 Lpa. The placment percentage was 88 to 90 percent. I will also try for jobs after degree completion, for the time being I have not thought for higher studies. Some of the top comapnies who visits VIT Bhopal are Microsoft, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture etc.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Tution fee for 1 year is INR 1,98,000 for category 1. The tution fee is based on the category basis. There are 5 categories based on your rank in VITEEE examination which is entrance examinaton for all the four campuses of VIT. Tution fee vary between INR 2 lakhs to 5 lakhs accroding to categories.The caution fee is INR 3,000 and there is counselling fee of INR 6,000. There is not such reseravtion quota for SC,ST.
Campus Life
Our college has 80 clubs and hosts its main cultural fest AdVitya in February. Winter fest hel for the first time in December 2024.The library offers a wide range of books like novel, academics journals, manga, magazines etc. The classroom are equipped with projcetors. Sports facility is just good and trying to imporve. In computer studios i7 PCs are installed. Aerospace lab is the most facinating lab as small plane is there. Student run social groups for well being of the nearby children. NSS group is also there.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel registration process is simple. It is done on their college site. Hostel is allocated according to the availibility of the rooms. There are differents types of rooms like 2-bedded, 3-bedded ,4-bedded and bunk bed option is also there. The hostel fee for 4 Bedded bunk is INR 1,32,000 for 10 months. In nearby locality PG options are also available. The meal quality is good. There is weekly menu which runs for a month sometime two months.
Admission
I gave JEE and VITEEE entrance examinations but I couldn't make it in JEE but in VITEEE I had options, other options were also there but they were not much diverse. Here I can interact with Students from almost all states in India so this gives me exposure to their culture and language and competition.To communicate You have to use english due to diverse native languages so your communication skill also be imoroved. Admission process is simple I gave the VITEEE and based on my rank I got category 1 in CSE AIML. Eligibilty for this course was 60% in class 12th Boards.
Faculty
All the faculties are Doctorate. The bond between students and faculties are good. Student can approach them without any hesitation in their free time. They all have respective cabins so it is not diificult to find them. For me the best faculty was my Calculas teacher, her teaching was more enough to understand concept inside the classroom. All faculties are good and friendly. There are 2 exams mainly one is Mid-Term and another is Term-end examination. Also tutorials are there for internals.The curriculam is good enough that coding is introduced in seocnd semester.
Night Life
There are 6 Boys and 2 Girls Hostels.Cafeterias are little bit overpriced. There are gym for both girls and boys in thier respective hostels.Boys have 2 gym. Nightlife here is nothing . You have to come inside the hostel before 9 p.m. If you want to go for outing you have to reach college before 7:30 pm in college. You have to travel either Bhopal aur indore for Hangout. Not such hangout place is near college. Campus is in 300 acres so you can roam all day in campus.
