Likes
- The college have less number of students in total so the senior-junior bonding is very strong, providing a homely environment.
- Both the teaching and non-teaching stuffs are quite good and supportive. The college also arrange those teaching stuffs as mentors, 5-6 students per mentor. Girl students are particularly provided with female teachers as mentors.
- The college also have various active clubs like - Robotics, photography, drama, music, sports, astronomy etc.
Dislikes
- The campus is full of greenery but little bit small.
- The infrastructures are not that developed, like some projectors & computers are non functional.
- The college have only three branches in B.Tech.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Bachelor Of Technology in CSE stands as one of the most saught after courses n the modern education system. This program eqips students with essential skills like programming, software development etc. Exams are conducted once in 2-3 months.
Placement Experience
The average placement of my college 4-4.5 lpa. In CSE branch 70-75 % students gets oncampus placement.Some students go for offcampus placement, others go for GATE examination and government examinations.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fees for Computer Science and Engineering branch students is Rs.8801. This includes : Tution fees : Rs. 3000 Semister exam fees : Rs.1200 University development fees : Rs.2200 & some other fees.
Campus Life
Although the campus is litle bit small, it is full of greenery. Various spoarts like football, cricket, badminton, table tennis is played. Various Active clubs are also there for extra- curricular activities.
Admission
I scored 95 percentile in Jee mains 2024. On that basis I was getting NIT Agartala, NIT Durgapur, NIT Shrinagar,IIEST Shibpur lower branches. I wanted to do CSE , so according to my WBJEE rank was getting this government college. Sit for WBJEE exam, get under 3000-4000 rank , apply for WBJEE counselling.
Faculty
The duration Computer Science and Engineering course is 4 years. In 1 year 2 semisters is conducted. One semister include marking scheme like - For theory paper Midterm 1 &2 : 15 + 15 Internal : 20 Semister end exam : Conducted for 100 marks which is reduced to 50 for evaluation. for practical - Lab experiment : 60 + External viva: 40 As said previously facultu members are quite good in their respective fields.
Night Life
The college has its own gym facilitie sinsid college campus. As it is located in city Kolkata, transpoart facilities like bus and railway are readily available. The college libraby has a vast collection of books, with good amount of sitting area.
