India's only Forensic Sciences University

It is the best institution I have come across. It provides the best facilities and exposure. I could not have asked for a better place to study at. I am very proud to study at Gujarat Forensic Sciences University.

It touches upon the basics as well as the advanced topics. The faculties talk about the recent advances in the field.Case studies might also be discussed. It has the papers like forensic chemistry, forensic biology, toxicology, fingerprints and questioned documents, ballistics, modern instrumental techniques, computer forensics, anthropology etc.

Our college is associated with the directorate of Forensic science (DFS) in Gandhinagar. We get internships there with permission.It is at walking distance from the institution. Apart from this there might be several opportunities.

Placements and job opportunities are good in the Cyber sector of the university. There is proper placement guidance and opportunities.Huge companies come in with opportunities. There are regular updates about the companies and their interviews.

There are events like conferences held in GFSU. 2019 is special because GFSU hosted the 8th INTERPA (An international conference).GFSU celebrated national holidays like Independence day and Republic day. The students are also allowed to celebrate festivals as GFSU consists of students of diverse cultures. GFSU also celebrates annual day as well as sports week.

The fee structure consists of the tution fee for day scholars.It includes hostel fee and mess charges for the hostel students.The fee is reasonable and worth every penny as the knowledge received is of world class quality.

I am not aware of any scholarships or loan facilities. There might be scholarship facilities based on government schemes or UGC scholarships.There also might be scholarship for the local students

Extracurricular activities are very good.There are lawns and grounds for sports like football and volleyball.The college hosts a sports week every year for the students. The labs are equipped with up to date machinery and instruments.The labs give hands-on experience to the students.GFSU also celebrates cultural diversity by hosting special events like ethnic day and annual day.

The hostel infrastructure and facilities are very good. The rooms are spacious.Regular cleaning is done and there is laundry service at extra charge.The hostel is very safe and peaceful.The hostel is in the campus and surrounded by neatly maintained lawns.

The senior students are very helpful and friendly. They offer help and guidance at any point of time. They also support the freshers and encourage their talent at events.The seniors at GFSU let the freshers steer the ship but look over so that the boat doesn't topple.

There are two Term Assessments ,one Mid Semester examination and one final examination.Apart from these assignments and projects are also given. The examinations depend on the examination board or committee.

I wrote an entrance test. A certain percentage of my marks in graduation as well as a certain percentage of my marks in the entrance exam were considered. For other courses, personal interview might also be held.

Most experienced faculty with wide knowledge and expertise in the particular field. They help us understand the subject in depth and even discuss about case studies sometimes. They have the practical knowledge as well.
