Course Curriculum Overview
The course prepares students well for jobs in translation, interpretation, and academia. Practical language exercises and exposure to Russian culture help in real-world scenarios. The focus on both language skills (reading, writing, speaking, listening) and cultural understanding influenced my decision.
Internships Opportunities
There are lot of internship for the students beginning from the 2 year . As our professor and seniors helps alot in academic are. Students do internship provide by russian house (new delhi) . And also some Russian university
Placement Experience
Here is no bar on placement as it is language learning as fast you are learning you can go for freelance and tour guide. But it is advisable to go for placement after 5 semester. My plan is to continue my higher studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
Actually here tution fee is very minimal which is only 200-400 per semester . And it is same for all students . Student with income below than 2.5lakh avail Mcm scholarship @2000 per month. There is one time registration fee around 4500 which is refundable after the course .
Campus Life
There are different club , groups , and societies focusing on different aspects like - reading groups , dance group, taekwondo, public speaking, discussion group and many more . Also here everyone celebrate each festival as students are from all over indian showing great diversity.
Hostel Facilities
For the undergraduate there is room shared by two people . Room is very much spacious for 2 peoples . In room two study table , with lamp and ceiling fan , tubelight and socket point provided. If you want to rent pg then but outside the university gate one can rent . Location -Munirka (new delhi)
Admission
I personally applied for more than one Central University and eventually got selected in universities like - DU and BHU for different courses. But one thing is about jnu that it provides hostel facility for all students.
Faculty
In my centre (faculty) there are more than 35 professors which is more than enough. We have a 4 exams per semester . It might sound not good 3 sessional test and then final (end sem). I personally admire all the facilities because of their good behaviour and helping nature.
Night Life
One of the most interesting is nightlife as it is said jnu never sleeps means you will find dhabas and shops open on late night till 3am in morning and students gossiping there . There are hostel -boys , girls and coed hostels also. Each hostel has its own mess, gym , badminton court, wifi, and reading room
