Remarks

K. C. Law College is one of the best colleges in Mumbai when it comes to imparting legal education for LL.B. (3 Years Course)

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Course Syllabus is as mandated by Bar Council of India and followed in the University of Mumbai. The College offers only 3 Years LL.B. Course. Examinations are Semester Pattern. Examinations are held twice a year viz May-June and Dec-Jan. The Practical Training Exams are conducted by the College in-house.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students have interned at reputed law firms and Corporates. Placement Cell is quite active in the development of Career related skills and conducts few activities for the same.

College Events

5

We have the following activities throughout the year:- 1) Legal Aid & Paralegal Project in association with Mumbai District Legal Services Authority 2) Intra-College Moot Court Competition 3) Legis Centrum National Law Fest 4) Delhi Educational Trip 5) Alumni Meet 6) Cultural & Sports Activities 7) National level Conference 8) A.D. Shroff Elocution Competition 9) Lex Concilio - Model Indian Parliamentary Debate Competition 10) Educational Visits 11) DLLE Activities 12) Workshops and Seminars And many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

For General Category the fees range between 6,000/- to 8,000/- since it is an Aided College. It is much less than the Un-Aided Law Colleges in Mumbai and across India. There is a subsidy given to reserved category students. College also offers scholarships to deserving candidates.

Fees and Financial Aid

Not Applicable in my case. College provides Scholarship to deserving Candidates. The procedure to obtain such scholarship is generally posted on the Notice Board and guidance is given by the office staff.

Campus Life

5

The College has Moot Court Hall and Library. There are many extra-curricular activities going on throughout the year. One can get overall development by attending lectures and participating in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities of the college.

Alumni/Alumna

The Alumnus of the college is having a reputed name in the legal fraternity. The Alumnus includes Judges and Senior Counsels of the Supreme Court as well as Bombay High Court.

Admission

I got admission through Sindhi Quota. Admissions are based on MH-CET Law Exam Scores and procedures involved in it. Cutoff for admission ranges between 96-110 for General Category. 50% seats are reserved for sindhi community students. There are seats reserved for reserved category students as per UGC Guidelines.

Faculty

5

There are a total of 7 permanent faculties. The faculties have Masters and Doctorate Degrees with detailed knowledge pertaining to their subject. There are Visiting Faculties as well who are Practising Advocates, they provide practical knowledge along with theory.
