Course Curriculum Overview

I have chooses this course because my father have high expectations on me and l have a dream that I will be an engineer in future. The frequency and timings exam good . Exam time difuculy level is average.

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies offered under internship with stipend like nalco , tate , Jindal and many more like these. Different different projects for different different branches, basically in mechanical branch there is autocad designing and about engine like these.

Placement Experience

6th semester passed students became eligible for campus placements. The companies visited are tata, samsung,many more popular companies. Th highest 1000000 lpa average offerred. 6 cgpa percentage students getting placement. My plans after getting degree to set in a company

Fees and Financial Aid

No , it is not increasing The year wise I pay 85000 rupees only And scholarship 20000 rupees Registration fees - 1500 Lab fees - per paper 300 The scholarship is state scholarship portal ( post matric scholarship)

Campus Life

The tech fest and pollyfest and functions are typically held. There are many books and accessibility journals available in the library. Yes they provides facilities and technological provisions in the classroom

Hostel Facilities

There are four bed , two fan , one latrin and one bathroom, four table and four chair for study and two light. Meal quality is good .menu is in a week t time nonveg ang four times veg . There is a form to fill up for registration in hostel.

Admission

I didn't apply any other colleges. I choose this college because my brother was studying in this college and he said me to study in this college. Eligibility is +2 science pass , special ojee Admission experience is good

Faculty

The faculty and our relationship is very good I like pani sir . He is the best faculties I don't like jaganath sir because of his behaviour. There are 4 exams totally I have cleared. Many students fail in the first semester Good

Interview Experience

No I didn't face any group discussion, interview or written test for the admission. The process criteria is before admission you will do special ojee and have completed plus two science with 50 percent mark .

Night Life

The boys gym , cafeteria and library closings in 9 pm. Hostel opening time on 6:30 am and hostel closing time on 8:30 pm. The hangout place is our college garden. Yes locality safe to roam around at night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Placement Experience:

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

Placement are descent enogh. After 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement drive and become eligible for internships in 2nd year itself. Highest paid CTC was 39LPA and average package is around 10 LPA.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.

First experience of iiit bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship officially from 3rd yr and for placements 7th semester onwards. Recently oracle has visited and 4-6 gote in there with 26 LPA . Zscalara was also there around 15 LPA . Percentage last year was 80-85 ig. I think I will join as a software developer along with a carrier in photography but let's see what happens.

Placements Beside, A Good College To Look For

This College is located 25 Km away from Bhubaneshwar, in the hills. As comapred to most of the colleges which are in the noisy places or the important services are not nearby . This College is just opposite of that , it is not that much noisy and still the important landmarks like hospitals,fire stations, police stations nearby.
