hostel is fine it is not that bad but infrastructure is old
mess food is eatable not very bad it is not unbeatable
many clubs are there for different interests

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is very old. No new things are taught. The things which are taught now have no use in the future or in our personal growth that can ensure a good experience for the future. Teaching method is very bad as teachers write from their papers.

Internships Opportunities

The highest stipend offered during IIIT Bhubaneswar internships 2024 was INR 50,000. Apart from this, the overall placement rate recorded during BTech placements 2024 was 79% whereas a total of 224 on-campus offers were made during BTech placements 2024

Placement Experience

Placements of the college are fine it is not very bad. The highest and average package offered during IIIT Bhubaneswar BTech placements 2024 stood at INR 26.5 LPA and INR 8.81 LPA, respectively. Further, a total of 192 offers were received and 42 recruiters visited the campus during placements 2024 drive.

Campus Life

The campus size is small and not well maintained. There are many fests held like Dcube, Advaita. Many text and subject related books are there in the library. Many societies are there of different interests. Sport events are also held.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is decent. It is little old. A room consists of three people. Rooms has one light, three fans, beds, table, chair,s almirahs provided individually. The meal quality of mess is pretty decent. It is eatable sometimes it's good and menu has now improved.

Admission

I had applied to NITs but i wasn't getting cse so I didn't go. This college was the best choice among my other colleges and also I was getting cse. I couldn't go to other colleges as my jee rank was low. Admission is down through jee mains rank

Faculty

Faculties are less. Faculties are easily approachable and a good relationship can be established. Some faculties are good but rest don't teach properly. There are four exams two quizes one midsem and endsem. The difficulty is average.

Night Life

Sports ground. Hostel gate closing time is 9:30 pm. Library closing time is 8 pm. Nescafe is available inside the campus. Food stalls are available outside the campus. It is safe to roam around at night both inside and outside of the campus.

Placement Experience:

from 6th sem, students are eligible almost 100 companies visited including IBM, VISA, Infosys, DE Shaw etc. Highest is 63 LPA and avg is 12-13LPA 90% placements I may consider doing MBA if I dont get very big package

IIITB is best!

Placement Experience:

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

Best College in this Budget

Placement Experience:

In 6th semester, Placement opportunities are available and the criteria is more than 7.0 CGPA,No backlog. Based on the company criteria Many companies like TCS,Tech Mahindra, Wipro,Q-spider, Flipkart, Infosys, Aditya Birla group and 50+ others companies,No offers more than 330+ 75% of students are placed. Highest package is 18 lacs and Average package is 3lakhs based on the companies. More than 75% were getting placements. My plan is to getting placed in company approx package 6lacs per annum with job security

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester we are become eligible for campus placements. There are many companies visited like :- Oracle , Skew spider , Wipro , Cognezent. The highest package is 8 lakh and average package is 4 to 5 lakh. Percentage of students getting placement is nearly 70 to 80 .

My Review on CGU

Placement Experience:

Talking about the placement you are getting trained from your 7th semester and also get placement from your 7th semester only. The placement process are going on until all the students are get placed.so if few of them are placed in the 7th semester or 8 semester and some of them are not getting placed after 8 semester then the placement cell continuously sending the placement mails to the student if you are not getting placed yet. If you placed in 4.5 lpa package then if a company come with 6 lpa package then you can also apply for the drive. But if again another company come with same 4.5 LPA package you can't apply for this. Other unplaced people are get chance to apply for this placement drive . There is also higher package companies are there like Flipkart Amazon with 16 LPA and 20lpa and more than that but it's all purely depend on your skill that you are prepared for it or not.

ICT is best for Research and Internships

Placement Experience:

Most of people go for PHDs and research after this course so the number of placements is a little less. Also, this unique Integrated Mtech course is new and the first batch of this 5 year course soon will be passed out. They are getting placement offers of 8-8.5 LPA per annum.

IIIT Bhubaneswar means technology!

I gave JEE to get selected for IITs but that couldn't happen and therefore IIITs were my second option. IIIT Una and IIIT Bhubaneswar, I had confirmation from them and I had second thoughts just considering the location. Collage Review of IIIT

This was the best collage that I was getting based on my JEE rank . I was also getting lower NITs like NIT shrinage , goa etc . But my father denied and he thought that a better branch will give a better palacement at the end of the 4 years .I also got into BITs pilani Electrical Engineering , but I have to put down that idea because of the high fee at the BITs . so this was the last option . i applied only in the josaa councelling, unlike others who apply to many other private colleges. this was the institute i was alloted through the councelling. government college was on my preference then private ones, mostly due to fee structure and students. there is no interview taken while admission. 50% of seats are reserved for odisha students and other 50% is open to all. cutoff for open category is higher, then state category and other categories like female/sc-st, etc. cutoff order for branches are cse>it>ce>etc>eee...Read More
