Course Curriculum Overview

Having studied commerce before it was an easy decision of taking B.com as a degree option in the Shyam Lal College under University of Delhi. Some of teachers are nice and have appealing teaching techniques making the class interesting

Class Size: 65Course Fees: INR 25200 per year

Placement Experience

Placements depend on the performance of the students throughout their college time and discipline, regularity and good behaviour and also depends on the students overall academic performance and their grades.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees is ?25200 having ?180 as tution fees and ?20 admission fees and total of ?4610 as College Students Welfare Fund and ?6020 as College Facilities Services Charges and ?10250 as College Development Fund and ?3715 as University Dues. Scholarships are also provided on the basis of eligibility criteria.

Campus Life

The college have a greenery rich surrounding with big fields for physical and sports activities, also having small gardens with variety of plants and trees to have a positive and social life with people engaging with each other sharing thoughts.

Admission

Area wise I found this college good for me as it is seperate from other college under University of Delhi and have a somewhat called isolated environment. Admission is taken through competitive exam such as CUET UG and PG.

Faculty

The faculty members are nice towards the students helping everyone to deal with any kind of problem or hindrance. Some of the faculties are also not so good to go with having very non cooperative nature

Interview Experience

For admission, a national level exam called CUET is held . We have to perform Group Discussion activities frequently on the basis of class assessments and there are written test held weekly or twice a week.

Night Life

Having both morning and evening faculty the college have a nice environment in both the time, having to play night light sports. The cafeteria have variety of good food and library have all type of books.

The companies which comes to college are Kpmg, dillote, Ey, bain and company etc. The average package is around 9 lakh and the highest package is 36.5 lakh.

Students of 3rd semester become eligible for campus placements. Companies like pwc, EY, deloitte has visited our campus and offered packages according to the competency of student. 35-40% people do get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to move abroad and pursue ACCA.

Hansraj college- A blessing

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is really relevant and comprehensive. For eg in bcom we study business law, company law, Human Resources management, marketing, financial and corporate accounting, finance, busines maths, stats, income tax, cost accounting, economics as ge so all these are really great well structureda and do have real life practical applications therefore i think my course is really very well aligned and comprehensive in terms of the business world.

My Shyam Lal College POV Memories

I choose this college because this college is most nearest Delhi University college from my home. I got this college because of my CUET marks and the preference list I made in CSAS portal. Cut off for my colleagues is not very high therefore students who want to get a good college and not expecting to get the north campus college prefer my college and the same reason I chose this college. Mostly bachelor of arts and Bachelor of commerce students prefer this college and only few students choose bachelor of science course provided by my college. I think roll colleges for the part it's pieces very high has compared to North campus colleges over the same course for example fees or my course in this college is 30000 while in North campus college it is around 17000 for first year students...Read More
