- We have IIT NIT curriculum system ie .different from other state govt colleges
- You will find guys having deep knowledge in coding.Here coding culture is one of the best.But for ETC and EEE you will not find such good opportunities.
Dislikes
- Placement for core branches is not good.Only 4-5 core companies visit here.
- Since I chose this college for EEE branch coz I want to do both electrical & electronics .But our college is quite unknown in core sector.
Course Curriculum Overview
For future opportunities EEE branch is the best as of now.You can dive into any domain you want; be it VLSI,software,Core or whatever.Here EEE and ETC curriculum is a little bit difficult as compared to CSE,CE & IT. Quizes happen just before midsem and endsem which makes you prepare well for midsem and endsem.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities depends on your skills.If you have good skills you will get ample of interships and seniors help us very much.oracke,tiger analytics,DE shaw are some which provide stipend over 50k per month.
Placement Experience
Here placements are good for coding and data analytics domain.You can expect decent PKG ranging from 10-16 lpa.If you have good skills the you can go all upto 44lpa.For core electrical energy examplr ,tejas networks and a few companies visit.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee is about 75-80k per semester and you need to pay 35k extra as hostel and library fee per sem.For mess you have to pay separately ie 108 rs per day ; you can make weekly coupon for mess no need to pay on daily basis.so annual fee is around 2.3 lakh and mess extra.But for Odisha students there is a provision to avail full TUITION FEE WAIVER through which I 'm enrolled.
Campus Life
Annual techno cultural fest is ADVAITA which happens during March every year.And techo management fest D³ which happens mostly in October or November.We have many clubs to explore but amongst them coding club ,E-cell TARS,megaheartz are the one which are really beneficial.
Hostel Facilities
We are provided with an almirah,a chair,table,bed and a ceiling fan with a tube light.Hostels are really good I must say. You get 3 or 4 shared rooms.Sanitation is good and wehave geisure for winters .
Admission
I've applied for only IIIT bbsr and didn't participated in any other counselling process.Due to lack of guidance I didn't know about OUTR and VSSUT although IIIT is far better than these but for core dept. these colleges would be a better option.If you are aiming for VLSI the conside IIIT bbsr rather than OUTR and VSSUT.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is1:10.Most of the Faculties are student friendly and you can reach out to them easily.We have 1quiz (15) + midsem (30) + endsem(50)+teachers assesment (5) per subject per sem.
Night Life
Outing time is b/w 6am to 9pm.You need to come back before 9pm.We have one restaurant and a Nescafe inside our campus.You can visit khandagiri udaigiri caves and wonderla.Also many shopping malls in bbsr.A bus runs every 30 mins joining our college and bbsr main city.
