Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is good. The main thing is the course future scope is very good in foreign and in India and the course i think it is easy then other courses so that's why i chose biomedical engineering

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 1192000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I dont know much about the internship opportunities in my college. As i heard from the seniors the opportunities which are available is good to earn a side income while studying in college and i will look forward for it

Placement Experience

To be honest as i am a fresher i don't know much about the placements and internship but as i head from seniors there on and off campus placements are good and get nice package after getting degree i will take placement

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for our biomedical engineering is 273000. As i am from general quotea i did not got any concession in fee. Fee for sc st students is nearly 120000 yearly. I didn't applied for any scholarships.

Campus Life

The campus life is very good we have a green and beautiful campus equipped with every available facility. We have digital boards in evey classroom. There are many clubs like programming, dancing, and singing.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is very big just imagine a hostel having 1024 rooms, it is huge right? Registration is done while physical reporting and admission. The meal quality is good the pest control is done to maintain hygiene

Hostel Fee: INR 10000 per year

Admission

Because of the campus and college life of pure college national institute of technology rourkela. We have a huge campus as big as 1200 acres. After clearing jee mains we have josaa counselling after that physical reporting is done

Faculty

We have faculties who are graduated from very good higher universities. There teaching methods is very good the student And faculty interaction is good . The facilities ask us if we have any doubt in.

Night Life

As a fresher we have to get in our hosteal before 10 pm but second third and fourth year students can roam in college whole night. We have gym inside the hostel with every gym equipment. Famous hangout places are outside the college

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Placement Experience:

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.

First experience of iiit bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship officially from 3rd yr and for placements 7th semester onwards. Recently oracle has visited and 4-6 gote in there with 26 LPA . Zscalara was also there around 15 LPA . Percentage last year was 80-85 ig. I think I will join as a software developer along with a carrier in photography but let's see what happens.
