Course Curriculum Overview

The Course Curriculum is highly relevant, industry focused. The Curriculum is highly aligned for GATE and Research Opportunities. The Professor heavily rely on Slides. Industry internship should be mandatory in Second Year

Internships Opportunities

The Official Summer Internship Start from May 15 to July 18. The College Generally Host Research Intern. The Stpiend for Under graduate Generally near 7500 per month. While it is Compulsory for Students Completing 6th Semester.

Placement Experience

Student of 7th Semester are eligible for Campus Placement. Over 300 Companies Visit making over 1147 Job Offers. For 2024-25 The Highest Placement was 1.2 Crore, While average package was 12L/Annum. Over 90 Percent people are Getting Placed. I am Thinking of Going Doing Higher Studies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Total Fees per semester is 111500. Tution Fees is 62500. Admission Fees 1000. Library Fees 5000. The SC/ST Student do not have to pay Tution Fees. Student having Family Income less than 1 Lakh do not have to pay Tution Fees.

Campus Life

Some Annual and Technical Festivals in Our College are -Nitrusav,Roots, Innovision and Many More. There is wide range of Books Available in the library, while we have access to online journals using the College ID. We have SmartBoards, Projectors, High Speed Internet Available Here. We have AC Rooms as Well. The College has excellent Sports and Extracurricular Activities Like Hockey, Football Etc Cyborg, WebWiz,AAsra, AstroNITR etc

Hostel Facilities

Here Rooms have Double Ocuupancy. We have Lan Cable which we can connect to our own Router to acess to Internet. Along with this we have One Light,One Fan and Two Bed. THE mess Menu is decent. The Hostel Experience is decent.

Admission

Other College I applied to are NIT Trichy, Nit Warangal, Nit Durgapur, Nit Jamshedpur. I only got a Seat in NIT Rourkela. I Chose this College as this college is near to my house, It have a Higher NIRF than others. Need to get More than 75% On 12th Board. Need to Qualify JEE Mains.

Faculty

Faculty to Student Ratio- 1:30. Faculty are very friendly and easily apporachable. Per Semester There are 2 main exam Mid sem and End Sem. While more small Quiz are organized by prof. Exam are Difficult. Maintaing a CGPA is a must.

Night Life

The Library Closes as 10 PM, while Reading Rooms are Open till 12pm. Hostel are Open all Night. Dilip Tirkey Stadium, Golden Jubile, Sachin Tendulkar Stadium Student Activity Center. Yes it is safe to Roam at Night.

Course Curriculum Overview:

For csit the subjects kee changing accroding to the trendy stuffs that are currently going on but it was really hard to keep with that when all your subjects are changed and you have o idea or previous year qs to geta reference from. Exams are conducted continously with no gaps and its not a easy stuff students get lot of stress but still somehow manage.

A Complete Review of KIIT University from a Student's View

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities at KIIT are quite good, especially for us the CSE students.The eligibility criteria for campus placements starts from 7th semester. Many well-known companies visit the university every year like TATA Consultancy Services , Infosys, Wipro, Accenture and Capgemini.The average package offered is around 6-8 lakhs and highest package offered around per yr avg is 50-60 lakhs.The percentage of students getting placements is around 90% plus in average per yr. After completing my degree, i plan to work in software industry and gain more experience in the field of technology

KIIT:place where students chase their dreams.

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester onwards companies visit campus and recruit students for internship. This internship season goes upto entire 7th semester. Many companies like amazon Deloitte cognizant and many other startups visited the campus.highest package was 42lpa and average package for computer science was 9 lpa. Around 70 percent student got placed.i want to get a good job in a good company.

According to recent placement statistics, the highest package offered at the college is around ?9.2 LPA, while the average package is about ?4–4.5 LPA. In the 2024 placement session, about 682 students were placed out of 803 graduating students, which shows a strong placement performance. The median salary for many programs is around ?6.5 LPA.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Students after completing 6th semester are given chances to do internship and convert it to ppo A total of around 60 companies visited the campus last year. For core branches tata power ,jsw offers a lot of jobs in tech roles tcs capegemini and other service based companies hires. Also cisco hires via there hiring process. Student have also grabbed placement at amazon and ib like credit suisse and goldman sachs previously. Around 60% students are getting placed every year Last year a total of 650 offers are made. So its better to get a job via campus placement rather than trying off-campus

Placement Experience:

From 6th semester onwards wards students are eligible for campus placement.it provides 100% placement guaranteed to the students who were eligible and sit for the placement drive. Big tech companies like ,amazon, samsung, Capgemini,minetree,infosis,adani wlvisit the campus. The highest package offered in 52 lpa The average package in KIIT is around 6-8lpa And the lowest package offered in 3 lpa. So overall you will have a nice exposure to tech and industrial space and can grab some decent placements.

Placement Experience:

Placements in our college are good but not great. Th overall performance of students getting placement from every branch course combined is more than seventy percent. But the percentage in branch to branch respective wise is different , as Computer science engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and Electrical Engineering have higher placement rates than any other courses. From Seventh semester students became eligible for sitting in placements. You can say from the start of Fourth year students sit in placements. Many companies visit and offer placements to our students but the big companies are TCS( Tata consultancy services) , Infosys, Adani Limited , Reliance Limited , Tata Power and Co.. The highest package offered to our branch course ( Electrical Engineering ) Is 13 LPA by Tata Power. The percentage of students getting placed by Electrical Engineering is pretty good and is 77%. Overall percentage of students from all branches is 72%. My plans after getting the degree is simple. I am preparing for placements and also for gate exam . I want to give myself a chance . I will try to get a big placement from a big company as I want . If that doesn't go according to my plan I will try to qualify gate exam and will do Masters in Technology in a. Higher Institute.

NIT ROURKELA THE ACTUAL REVIEW

I had a choice for chemical engineering in NIT Calicut,kerala my home state but i was not interested in chemistry so I dropped that choice and preferred electrical engineering in NIT Rourkela because choosing this would be more related to core and computer field which also was the one I was interested in.
