It worth to join University of engineering and management kolkata

This collage not only train us to be future ready for IT industry but they also provide several trainings for public sector jobs which are one of the prestigious jobs in our country and that too for completely free of cost. There are several students exchange program by which you can pursue your studies in your dream universities all over the India.

In B.Tech we have 8 semester altogether. Generally the mandatory subjects are same as others but we have several optional papers during this 4years like essential Studies for Professional, Skill development for professional and many more which will eventually help us to prepare ourselves as per the company standards so that we can achieve excellence during our placement procedure.

IEM group is promised to provide 100% placement. Being the 1st batch of final year B. tech students we never expected so much opportunity coming towards us but believe it or not they managed to placed almost 70% of our batch within 5 months of our placement session. As of now we have to apply for internships by ourselves but they are coming up with various opportunity that we can use to find our dream internship.

We mainly have techfest, cultural fest, Hackathon, which is generally a coding event food Mela, bookfair, bike and car rally and a lot more. We also have freshers and orientation event every year. The convocation event is also one of the prestigious event in the city.

The fees structure is just like the standard engineering college fees. At our time we need to pay an average of 40000 rs. Per sem. But the hostel fees and the transportation fees are not included in it.

Though I didn't availed any loan but one can easily have a educational loan from icse bank, which is tied up with this university. And also we have several scholarship facilities. If one performed extraordinarily in their semesters they have a chance to get the entire fees back for that sem.

There are various clubs organising different sports events and extracurricular activities. We even have a gym inside our campus premises. We also have table tennis, hockey, badminton, Cricket and football teams. There are several inter collage Competitions arranged by those clubs.

No being a local resident I haven't opted the hostel facility. But I heard it from some of my friends that the hostel is still under construction. Due to lack of space in the university campus the hostel for both boys and girls were outside the collage premises at first but now they are trying to extend the campus and have a plan to make a hostel in near future.

Being the first batch we don't have seniors. But hope that our next batch can explain this question in a better way. We have basically under the IEM group so we considered the students of institute of Engineering and Management as our seniors, and undoubtedly they are helpful and friendly.

The Faculties are not only teach us during their class timings but they are almost always ready to help us out even in holidays. You just need to approach them once and they are more than happy to help you. We even have extra doubt clearing classes. The attendance policy is strict for every class to ensure our betterment. Every faculty will take internal assessment which will eventually reflect on your marksheets.
