Course Curriculum Overview

3

I've chose computer engineering because i had keen interest in computers and other tech since my childhood and i love to learn new coding languages.GTU syllabus is a bit outdated as in terms the study about computer engineering starts from 2nd year and before that i.e 1st year we need to learn basics out every engineering fields which I feel is bit outdated and time wasting.I'd be happiest if the curriculum brings changes such as coding classes starts from the 1st year itself.I feel the frequency of the class is perfect as the faculty makes it easy to understand.

Internships Opportunities

5

Faculty members help students getting internships. Some are paid and some are non paid internships. The stipend may vary between 5000-30000.One can intern in local like tatvasoft etc as well as large scale companies too.

Placement Experience

4

The students become eligible for placement from 6th or 7th semester itself. In our college training for placement and internship is provided so that students can excel. Here companies like TCS,WIPRO etc visit regularly and the average package goes to approx 5LPA and the highest was 16LPA. Almost all the students from computer fields are placed but there is relatively low placement ratio compared to the CORE field engg students. After completion of this degree id serve companies as software engg and gain experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee of my college is 43000 per year along with that there are other charges such as thellessemia report i.e of 1450 rupees alumni association fee, workship toolkit, annual day celebration day contribution, sports fee, social welfare fee, fund aid for poor students and all these charges ends upto a admission fee of 53000 which is later substracted from the annual fee of 88000(in which 5000 is refundable deposit) and 12500 extra charge for transportation from bus .So, the total fee adds upto 100000 per annum.Other batchmates of mine who took admission from (management quota) has same fees as me(government quota)

Campus Life

4.5

The overall experience with campus life is satisfactory as the college hosts many hackathons and many other events such as sports competiton annual day. There are clubs too in the college such as red hat club etc. There are renowned clubs like Google Developer Group are also present. The infrastructre is okayish as some buildings are a bit old

Admission

I applied in PDPU(PDEU) and Lj university ahmedabad. I chose this college because 1) It is one of the best and renowned college inour region 2)The feels is comparatively too less.Yes my application in Nirma University(ahm) got rejected because i couldn't clear the cutoff of CSE of that college. The admission process in SVIT is simple you if youre alloted seat through ACPC or you need to visit the campus for management quota. The exams required here are 12th PCM and GUJCET or JEE.The exam most preferred here is GUJCET as it is simpler than JEE the cutoff of SVIT for CE was 7000 rank (GUJCET) this year.

Faculty

4.5

Most of the teachers in our college have held degrees such as Phd and Mtech. Theyre talented teachers tbh. Every word they teach is easily understood. The student-teacher relationship is really good. Teachers are very helpful they help us even with our projects.Almost all the teachers are good but the best ones are Bhavesh Suthar sir(Mathematics prof.). There are almost 3 exams per semester best of two midsems and one external.Theyre easy. One can easily get passing marks even if they dont study properly.Almost none - 2 or 3 fails hardly. As the college is affiliated to GTU tbh the syllabus is a bit outdated.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well-strutured and covers fundamental concepts in a clear and systematic manner. As a first-semester student I found the subjects helpful in building a strong base for futher studies. The syllabus balances theory with practical exposure which helps in understanding real-worls applications.Faculty members explain concept clearly, through adding more hands-on projects and industry-oriented topics would make the curriculum even better.Overall the curriculum is relevent comprehensive and suitable for beginners but it can be improved with more practical sessions and updated content aligned with current industry trends.

Placement Experience:

Placement in this college is quite good and it also depends on the grades of the students. Highest package goes to 14 lakhs per annum and the average package goes to 5 to 6 lakhs per annum. As the students enter into their 7th semester the placement process gets started and the students will go into th selected companies in their 8th semester and if the worked well their they can also get PPO which means that they can do their job for permanent time. Percentage of the students last time who got placed in big MNCs company goes to 87 percent and the rest students got their placement in some small company. My plan after my b tech degree is to get higher studies in Mtech by score a good mark in the GATE exam which is going to be held in February month.
