Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Medical curriculum is now being managed by NMC who are trying new things which are kind of making it a bit weird and also the adaptability has been a little off. But overall its a good motive to stop rote learning

Internships Opportunities

4

Internship is after 4.5 years which is within the hospital besides the college. Internship lasts for a year with around 15000 monthly stipend. Work load is not that much during the intern and is enjoyable

Fees and Financial Aid

We pay yearwise fees starting from 1,50,000 with a 10% increment everyyear totalling upto 8 lakhs. Other fees include the hostel fees which is not compulsory and is around 35000. There is a scholarship on tution fees for SC students.

Campus Life

4

We have various programs over the year, just previous week we had our fest Endorphin which was an Intracollege fest. Libraries and the LT are fully equipped and have great facilities. We have a student union known as FAMS

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel life is great with individual rooms for boys and sharing for girls in initial years. Mess quality is okayish and you can opt for not eatimg from mess. AC and other appliances are your own and have to pay some 20000 yearly for electricity

Admission

Its a Govt college with good patient load and lowest fees possible in the govt setup. We also get good exposure and opportunities. You get to enroll in the college through NEET Ug which is an entrance exam for medical fields

Faculty

4.5

Faculty is great as they have good experience and have been working in the same hospital for many years. Highly qualified professionals. Exams are semester wise with 2 semesters, a prefinals and finals.

Reviewed on Jul 26, 2021(Enrolled 2017)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose MBBS because it was my dream to be a doctor. A brief ratio on faculty:student is 1:8. Most of the faculty is qualified from Punjab medical colleges only. And their teaching methods are not upto mark. They just read out the power point presentations that their subordinates or they themselves make for the class. Very rarely a teacher explains the concepts on board. It’s a very passive sort of teaching. Exams have always taken place on term. And it’s of moderate difficulty. 80 percent of questions are from previous while 20 percentage are new questions.
