Likes

Some faculties are really appreciable their way of teaching is amazing .
Some couses of the curriculum is relevant like professional communication, food bioy
Mentorship is also very good mentors are extraordinary and very helpful

Dislikes

In first year there are so much restriction on us they don't even give us permission to go Gym
There is no facilities of 2 roommate or one roomate in hostel
There are no any other big hall in Library for couples they came in all halls of library and disturb others.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am from biotechnology which have less opportunities in india but in foreign it have vast opportunities but it is growing field which coordinate technology with medical industry that facinale me. Yea areas of improvement is that some courses of no use they should be removed from course. And some teachers are not interactive they should interact with students also. In 5 months there are two times exam occurs some courses exam is very easy but some courses exam is very difficult like Microbiology.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 82000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes there are hike in fees in our college this year because college is central it is run by government of India so it's depends how government hike the fees. Complete fees for me is about 3.8 lakh approximately. Smvp scholarship for west bengal board is 240000 for 4 yrs course , Nsp for all board is about 210000 for 4 yrs course . Till now I haven't taken any responsibility in college but I will see in my upcoming semester.

Campus Life

There are two main fest name Aarohan and Rectasy happens in our college Library facilities are also very good there are so much books some books are 100 yrs old. There are projector in every classroom and black board also. Yes sports competition is happening all over the year . Yes there is social group name BMEP it is for educating underprivileged students near the campus.

Admission

Admission process is not very much difficult it is like first you have to clear Jee mains exam then participate In jossa counselling if you clear the cutoff then you only have to fill enrollment form from official website. Reservation available for sc ,st ,obc ,gen ews,PWD. I think admission process is smooth but yes if improvement needed then I will say they have to accept cash also when fees payment occurs

Faculty

Some of the faculties have amazing qualifications like they are graduated from foreign country and some from iits and nits But some professors are from local college itself but I don't have problem with that but problem is that they don't know how to teach. There faculty to students ratio is 1:114 average in Theory but in labs it reduced to 1:30. Yes I interest with teachers on daily basis with some problem and approach

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Students who actively engage in placement preparation have better placement success. About 98% students were placed in 2023. Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. Mainly mass recruiter companies like TCS, wipro, Infosys, cognizant comes here.Some top notch mncS like oracle,amazon, Microsoft also comes here .One senior of our previous batch got 1 cr Per annum in off campus way. Avg package is 10 lpa like . Jft and pst branch has full 100% placement. My plan after getting the degree is to be placed in top notch mnc & work as SDE.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for.
