Remarks

Good- Good infrastructure.Well developed labs and some very good teachers with great knowledge .Research is motivated (although not supported when a student actually starts working). Bad-Narrow mindedness.Contolling mentality of the authorities.

Entrance Preview

A teacher from my preparatory institute listed some pvt colleges which were worth getting into. One of them was this college. On further enquiry and discussion with a friend I got positive feedback about the college and it's name in the medical field.I did my own research too and found that the college is an old ongoing institute and doesn't have the hassles with the governing body MCI (which new colleges that haven't been established properly have).

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum is nice and well structured but there is a gap between inter departmental connection because of which the efficiency that could have been attained in the matter of curriculum isn't attained to a full extent. The study material is provided like records and books you need to get your own but are suggested by the faculty.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it has a mandatory period of 1 year of internship after the 4.5 yrs of course of MBBS. There wasn't any stipend earlier but the ongoing batch is receiving 20K which starter this year only.

Placement Experience

5

Being a medico ensures you a job in itself unlike the engineering stream. The main point is what type of a doctor you will become and which type of practice will you be doing.Like private practice or try to go into government sector by giving another exam. Most people though try for PG after UG.

College Events

2

Though Medical life doesn't give much scope for events with all the vast syllabus and tight schedule we do have an annual cultural fest which goes on for 3-4 days during which events like dance, singing, fashion show etc occurs. Before that literary events like crossword ,debate etc are done. A sports meet also occurs annually.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The worst thing I will say about pvt colleges or rather this college is the fee structure .Although when I came it was Rs 8,80,000(still a large amt) it has now increased to Rs 17,00,000 in 2 years which for a guy from army background is huge. But people still come. It's MBBS after all.

Fees and Financial Aid

Aa far as my knowledge there is no scholarship given by this college.About the loan ...No loan is provided by them but they have collaborated with SBI here and they might forward you to them if you ask.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus life in one word is studious .The gender ratio has more girls to boys like any other medical college.Boys nd girls walking together is frowned upon by the authorities and considered a bad thing but still people do it(young blood). Labs are there for everything....There is a main big ground and a small ground for volleyball. No robotics.Debates occur aa part of literary committee events. Above average events.Couls be better.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The best thing as compared to all the India(with which I mean the parts where I have friends studying in colleges and eating in colleges mess) is food here. The mess agency is very efficient and the people working are very benevolent and always ready to give you whatever u want and however much you want.

Alumni/Alumna

There is actually no initiative from the authorities to keep the alumni in contact. So no network. But teachers and juniors do keep contacts with the seniors and the pass outs.Because in medical life it's all about contacts in a way.

Exam Structure

The exams are an integral part of medical life and unlike the engineering we get the whole syllabus done till date in every exam(back portion nd current ).There are 2 internals ,1 Prelims and 1 final exam during every phase.Out of 2 internals and prelims best out of 2 are considered and 50% aggregate os required to pass in every subject individually .

Admission

First of all a person needs to fill an online form which needs information like the basic details like Name ,Age ,sex etc along with the qualifications and marks in the entrance exam i.e. NEET and do the registration payment after which you get a receipt and that makes you applicable to attend the counselling. In counselling they call you rank wise and verify your documents and the fees is taken in form of a DD. You are required to fill an affidavit for not participating in any ragging activities and then you are showed the hostel and mess.

Faculty

3.5

The teachers are good(half of them atleast and the others are also having the knowledge bit not how to deliver it in a efficient way or rather in a way that which motivated or attracts the pupil). Some of the faculty is quite helpful and help you in personal matters too.

Postings are helpful because we get to learn a lot of things and even the practical classes of pre and para clinical subjects. But keeping attendance mandatory for theory class doesent help much bcoz at the end we remember only those things which we have studied in our space and peace of mind. But attendance is very important criteria for getting eliginility for final exams

MBBS is a big part of my life , best course to take if you love reading and love science. Teaching methods in our college involves patient interaction and stuff giving us more practical knowledge. The internals take place once in 3 months followed by minimum of a month study holiday for the finals. The internals are fairly easy .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I grew up in a family of doctors and it was always my plan to pursue Mbbs. The faculty I would say like every college has the great ones and the not-so-great ones. The faculty: student ratio is high, but it all comes down to the quality of teaching. And which is okay as compared to govt. Colleges. Final Exams and at the end of each year, with question paper being set by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. It is considered a very difficult exam to pass among medical universities in India. And 3 internal exams are conducted every year by the college itself.

Since it is a medical college. There are not many direct placements. We secure a good result and our next exam score decides the college we get placed or the pg course we shall be pursuing. My plans after getting this degree would be to pursue a course in general surgery.
