Course Curriculum Overview

4

Mbbs course is according to nmc guidlines and exams are conducted around the same time in all the mbbs colleges in India. College follows the guidelines and notices. Exams are medium difficult as proff exams are. Mbbs curriculum is designed to tackle problems in real life cases. We have separate clinical hours in hospital so that we can see patients.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

As per rule of nmc students have to complete their internship from the attached hospital. We have 1 year intership in blde hospital itself. For 23-24 year stipend is around 25k. After completion of intership you pass mbbs and get degree. Throughout the year you are posted in different departments and you have to attend postings everyday.

Fees and Financial Aid

They don't increase tuition fees like other pvt college.there is no yearly increment in the fees which is a positive point altough 18 lakhs itself is a huge amount. Karnataka students gets the state scholarship from Karnataka government. Overall fees including tuition and hostel with mess is around 20 lakh

Campus Life

3

Campus is good in blde altough the isn't much to do in Bijapur. We have music dance clubs etc but fest is not as good as compared to other pvt colleges. Overall social experience is fine here. We also have red cross club run by Pharma department and sports event are held regularly.

Hostel Facilities

4

AC are not provided in hostel and you have option of double or triple sharing room.rooms with attached bathrooms are also available. Hostel is pretty with own basketball court and garden. Mess facility is not that good as compared to the mess fees they take but it manageable

Admission

You have to qualify neet and then join the counselling to get medical College. Cut off in the year 2021 was around 360 or 370. After getting the allotment list we have to report to the college with 3-5 days and complete admission process.

Faculty

4

All the faculties are well qualified and they teach with utmost dedication. You can interact with the faculties to clear doubts and they will help with research projects too. No. Of professors in all the departments are enough.

Other Applied Colleges

The curriculum is great. It is followed as per RGUHS ( Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences) guidelines. There are currently RS4, RS5 and RS6 curriculums. Each curriculum is different in it's own way. The pattern of subjects, exams and NEXT exam has changed as per each year and curriculum.

Postings are helpful because we get to learn a lot of things and even the practical classes of pre and para clinical subjects. But keeping attendance mandatory for theory class doesent help much bcoz at the end we remember only those things which we have studied in our space and peace of mind. But attendance is very important criteria for getting eliginility for final exams

MBBS is a big part of my life , best course to take if you love reading and love science. Teaching methods in our college involves patient interaction and stuff giving us more practical knowledge. The internals take place once in 3 months followed by minimum of a month study holiday for the finals. The internals are fairly easy .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I grew up in a family of doctors and it was always my plan to pursue Mbbs. The faculty I would say like every college has the great ones and the not-so-great ones. The faculty: student ratio is high, but it all comes down to the quality of teaching. And which is okay as compared to govt. Colleges. Final Exams and at the end of each year, with question paper being set by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. It is considered a very difficult exam to pass among medical universities in India. And 3 internal exams are conducted every year by the college itself.

Placement Experience:

Since it is a medical college. There are not many direct placements. We secure a good result and our next exam score decides the college we get placed or the pg course we shall be pursuing. My plans after getting this degree would be to pursue a course in general surgery.
