Remarks

Good college but if the fee structure would be less then it will be the better college in eastern India. Very good environment inside the campus. Strict and have followed rules and regulations inside the campus.

Entrance Preview

Referred by a friend and teachers from well reputed organizations. Basically my wish to study in IEM but unfortunately not able to crack WBJEE entrance exam, but when I heard about UEM that it associated with IEM so decided to take admission in this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

We have IEM crp from where we access our couse details, curriculum , marks, attendance and lots of things. Its very fast and easy to use. 24*7 wifi library is there. We are allowed to take books, reading patents, magazines and lots more and also kindle e-book reader also availabe for reading e-books.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, our college is associated with Intershala. And if we do any courses from Internshala it will be held in summer and winter vacations. They take huge charges for doing internships so its better to do outside from college. No experince because I have never done intership till now.

Placement Experience

3

Placements are well enough to say good. Viseted companies like Wipro take bulk recruitment from our college. Selected students got good package. Pre placement classes helps lot more to get placed in a well reputed companies.60% students of 4th year CSE department got good jobs in TCS, Cognizant and Wipro.

College Events

4

In the month of January we have our tech fest. In the month of September we have our freshers. The tech fest is a big event, students from different colleges showcast their talents, workshops are organised, technical quizes are held and lots of other things are takes place in this event.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its very expensive, we paid 60000 rupees in every semester. But now for the new students it crosses the 70000 rupees mark. For a normal middle class family its very hard to pay that amount of money. Since its a UGC approval university and automous thats why they charges this huge amount.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are given to students who got greater than 95 % in class 12th. Loan facility also available in the college.

Campus Life

4.5

Amazing and crowded campus. Huge basketball court. Underground golf court, Cricet ground and lots more. Lush green campus and beautiful garden. Equally proportionate girls and boys. Extracurriculat activies such as footbaal tournament, cricket tournament are held. Huge laboratories with modern equipments.

Hostel Facilities

3

Since I am not a hostelier, but from friend I have came to know that the facilities in the hostel are not very good. But the food quality is good. Electricity cut off takes place every day and the hostel is around 1km far from the univerity. Stictness is followed in the hostel.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes absolutely the alumni are helpful. Seniour students show at some point that they are helpful but actually they are not.

Exam Structure

Exam scheduling for even semester and odd semester are in the month of May and November respectively. For the examination we have to pay additional extra 1000 rupees. For odd semester practical exam started in November and theory exam started from December. For even semester practical and theory exam started in May and June respectively.

Admission

Firstly the college itself take entrance exam named IEMJEE for free. If you give the exam your chance for selected will be 80% with your basic knowledge. They take online examination in IEM gurukul campus situated in Sector 5. The question came in the exam are very easy to solve and understandable.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty members are helpful, they take extra classes for betterment of knowledge. Pre Placement classes held twice in a week for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students. The teachers also focus on government sector thats why they include ESP and SDP in the syllabus of B.Tech all year students.

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
