Faculty, regular classes and academic environment in the college
Cultural composition and exchanges at it is a sikh minority college

Dislikes

Very small campus being situated in the market cum residential area
No playground or green area in the colllege
There is not a very good campus vibe near the college

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is for the one who loves history. Fields are limited but not rare, course goes with depth knowledge More field trips should be considered. Still, there are outstation trips. Exams are conducted in summer and winter.

Class Size: 30Course Fees: INR 16025 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides a maximum 50% refund of fees for students applying for financial assistance whose income is less than 2 lacs. Many scholarships are there that a student can apply but most of them are for people with an income certificate of less than 2 lakh rupees.

Campus Life

Student politics is great. Political and social discourses are way prevalent and also they must be. The study is kept as a priority. 30+ societies are there for all the fields that enable a student to follow his/her passion along with academics like music, dance, poetry, debate, quiz, dramatics, bhangra, giddha, etc.

Admission

Any student can apply from any stream till 2021 as per merit. After that one has to clear the CUET UG examination to pursue the course in the college. Cuet ug enables broader choices and comparisons for the students.

Faculty

Faculty is sufficient except in Hindi Patrakarita Teachers are highly qualified Teachers are easy to approach The teaching staff is very interactive and well-behaving

Not my first choice, but not a Bad one either

Course Curriculum Overview:

British classics, Indian writing, postcolonial literature builds a strong foundation in literary analysis, critical thinking, and interpretation, which are useful skills. As for comprehensiveness, the curriculum is quite broad. It covers multiple literary periods, genres, and critical theories over the three years, so you’re not really missing out on the essentials. In that sense, it feels academically complete. But sometimes, it leans more towards breadth over depth you move quickly from one topic to another.

Placement Experience:

There's a placement cell and placement drives do happen in college but genuinely the package offered is not really considerable. After the 4th semester students are considered to sit in the placement drives though I would say it is not very efficient and fruitful.

BEYOND THE BOOKS COLLEGE EXPERIENCE

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i am engaged is BA HONOURS ENGLISH in DAULAT RAM COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF DELHI, the course offered is comprehensive, interesting and detailed. The faculty of English honours department is fully supportive of the students, the faculty members do not just give theory or bookish knowledge but also help us improve our communication in English language. We have studied many areas of literature within the course offered- ROMANTIC LITERATURE, EUROPEAN LITERATURE, INDIAN LITERATURE, AMERICAN LITERATURE, DALIT LITERATURE AND EVEN REGIONAL LITERATURE TRANSLATED IN ENGLISH. The teachers also continuously conduct tests and examinations for improving the academics of the students

Placement Experience:

Placements are available in college, the drive is quite extensive, everyone is made aware of the choices and options and counselling is present too. It is from the third year, students are eligible to apply for placements. Companies and organisations take part such as Niti ayog, Times, Geostrata, Prajatantra foundation, etc. Those who desire usually work on their CVs, keep on doi internships and then get a placement. The packages are not that impressive to be honest.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I got a seat in Ramjas College. It is a north-campus college. The infrastructure is too good compared to the remaining colleges. The teaching also going well but I faced some language problems. I'm from south India so I don't understand Hindi properly. But here mostly they teach in Hindi only and English is used very rarely.
