My life in GRIET

In have choosen electronics and communcation engineering course because in this course curriculum it has indepth course of electronics and commincation where one can learn them and can get placed in top core companies and it even has computer science related courses also. I have choosen ece because i didn't got placed in cse course and i am interested towards cse so, i have choosen ece since it has similar courses of cse. These courses helped me to get placed in top software company with package of 6.5lpa. These also interact with real worl applications as in our major project we did an real time application called indoor navigation app in smart marts. which includes both the subject knowledge of ece and cse. So, my ece course has helped me a lot. It would be better if more practical labs are inntroduced in our course. The difficulty level of our exams is medium and timings are 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

Our college provide internship oppurtunities like a company called Gap inc., which provides stipend of 25,000. It is a 6 months internship oppurtunity. There role comes under java intern role. we did project based on e-commerce website. We have desgined a website where people can easily access the site and can shop easily and effortlessly. There are many more internship oppurtunies through our college like microcontrollers with stipend of 15,000 in which one of my friend was doing internship currently for 3 months.

Placements of our college is quite good . After 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements. around 100 companies have offered to our college. some of them are accenture, tcs, kellanova, gap inc., peleton, saddle point technologies, tech mahindra, ltts, cognizant, capgemini, hyundai, fintech, real page etc,. Highest package is around 44lpa and average package is around 6lpa. Most of them are SDE role and GTE role which are software development engineer and graduate trainee engineer. Around 80% students are placed and some of them might be planning for higher studies or own business or start ups. My plans after getting the degree is I actually got placed through campus placements of package 6.5lpa. So, I will be doing job after 1 month as i have got my offer letter recently.

The fee structure per year is 1,22,000 /-, if management seat then it would cost around 8 lakh more to pay for the whole course excluding basic pay of 1,22,000 which has to be paid by all. There are scholorships for the people who have scored rank below 8000 in eamcet. But they should have EWS certificate for the fee reimbursement. For my education the total cost is around 5 lakhs including all other fees like library fees, medical fees etc. As i didn't applied for any scholorship i don't know the names of them. I only know that the basic pay amount 1,22,000 /- will be paid by the telangana govenrment to the college per year on behalf of that student. I once took part in science fair projects, cultural events but there is no stipend for us.

My over all experience with my campus life is well good. As we have annual and technical festivals like spectra, reudo, pulse, pragnya are some of the cultural festivals and codetech, hackathons are some of the technical festivals which are held in our college. They typically held in between september to december. Our library is quite large and maximum of 2000 people can sit at once in the library. There are thousands of books available in our library which also has research section too. In classrooms we have benches which are of high quality and fans total 8 and a whiteboard along with the projector in each and every classroom. There are many sports and extracurricular activites like cricket club, volley ball club in sports and rhythems club for dance. we have IEEE club where students volunteer in it, we have nss club which is led by students.

My admission process was smooth with tiny struggles also. First I have submitted my certificates of 10th and intermediate, aadhar card also to the jntu which is affiliated branch of our college. They have verified these certificates and it took 1hr time for this whole process. I have took eamcet exam got in to this clg (Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology). My rank was 4567. I am in the category of general and cutoff is 14,000. application form is available in clg site and fee is around 1000. Dates are near 10th of october. There are reservation benefits cutoff is around 40,000 also for ece for sc caste. Timings of our exams is 10:00 am to 1:00 pm around 3hrs. Improvement in the admission process are like detail information about fee structure and scholorships should be explained in detail before joining. Because I got to know about these after joining in my clg.

The faculties in our college are quite professional. The ratio of faculty to student can be defined as for every section there are 66 students in our class and average of 5 lectures for each class. There are 5 sections in our ECE branch. So the ratio will be approx of 1:12. They teach us well but lack of practical knowledge. They teach us through power point presentations on projector and with their hand written notes too. They send pdfs for us to understand more about the subject.
