4 Years of Self Learnings and Enjoyment

The curriculum is quite outdated and not up to date with the trending technologies used in the market for development and day to day basis of work. It provides alot of theory with to be honest is not much of use. Practical knowledge about a particular topic is n3ed, how to apply it in real world is something that must be included in the curriculum. Practical knowledge and hands on experience is what that will make the students ready to take up their jobs very smoothly and efficiently.

Placements are good I'll say... Atleast in the computer engineering department we have a good rate of students getting placed in comparison to other departments of the college. Companies come from the 3rd year mostly 6th semester of college till the final year completes of a particular batch. Companies like one shield, Visteon, IVF, PSL, Appstrail , Infogen, Infuse, Germin8 and many more has visited. Around 75-80% students have been placed by now. Packages depends and varies on companies. They have ranged from 2L to 10L too

Fees are to be paid semester-wise, that is for each semester. It ranges from 20000 to 25000 for reserved categories and almost, I can say, double of it for the general category. These are the tuition fees, and then we also have exam fees too for each semester that can be from 200 to 3000 for reserved ones and double for general category ones. Then there are also separate hostel fees if you take up hostel. i dont know the exact fees of the hostel, though. There is also some financial aid for the economically weaker class.

We have departmental technical events happening every year. Also there is interdepartment event called tandav that happens and is very popular among college students in goa. There is also another event called happenings which our college organises for other college students wherein they participate and compete among them. Also there are various clubs in college too like drama music art literature quiz astronomy etc. Overall the experience is amazing for a college student.

The admission to degree colleges is done on the basis of an exam called GCET Goa Common Entrance Test. This is changed from this year to JEE and from hence admission will be considered from jee score of candidates. So for GCET we had to answer PCM questions, they were mcqs and there was no negative marking. For every correct ans 1 marks was credited. During my admission it was all done online because of COVID 19 we could find all forms and even the admission forms and lists online. We only had to go to college for confirmation of the seat and payment of fees once.

The faculties are well educated in their respective subjects. There are lectures of every faculty atleast 4-5 times that is 4 to 5 hrs so they know the students very well and are very familiar with the students knowledge and strengths.
