Likes
- Some of the facaulties are very good.They are ready to take class if there is atleast 1 student attending that lecture.They are quite student friendly.I have studied from 2017 to 2020.
- The lab assistants were also very good.They helped us a lot during practicals.
Dislikes
- The lab infrastructure is very bad.There is some trainer kits where we can perform the practical are defective.Even the faculties don't know that which kit is working properly and which is not.During first year practical exams it was hard for student
- very hard for some of our students to perform experiments in external colleges as the practicals are done using discrete electronic components and not using trainer kit.
- During our time the there were no lectures for general subjects(Maths and Physics).We used to wait in the class but the teacher don't come.
Course Curriculum Overview
During our time the course curriculum was lengthy.There was some topics which are irrelevant to the subject.During our time exams are conducted in yearly format.Now the courses are designed in CBCS format and the syllabus are much updated.Exams are now held in half yearly format.
Fees and Financial Aid
The course is quite expensive as the student have to pay 6300 rupees per year.The student gets financial assistance from the State Government like SVMCM scholarship.If there is any employment opportunities HOD sir always mailed us regarding that job.
Campus Life
Campus life was quite good.I made some good friends during my college life.The student union were very effective in organizing socials like Freshers welcome and annual college fest.We faced some difficulties during the 2nd year as the classes remain shut due to clashes of groups within the student union.That year the socials didn't takes place.
Admission
There is no entrance exam.Merit list are published on the basis of best of four subject marks in Higher Secondary examination and admission takes place based on those merit list.During my time of study we have to fill the application form via online mode and the admission process gets completed once the hard copy of form gets submitted to the college and the bank challan along with the fees is submitted to the nearby branch of Axis bank.
Faculty
All the facaulties are either doctorate or pursuing PhD. The number of faculties are accurate considering the number of students in the class.Some teachers are very helpful and friendly and even ready to take classes if there is atleast one student attending that lectures.
