Course Curriculum Overview

Microbiology course has a great role in medical industry. I decided to choose this course because it has a great practical approaches and gave a great knowledge of microbes. how to isolate microbes? How pathogens prey their host and how do they grow? How microbes affect food? What are the economic importance of some microbes. Microscopic knowledge , you learned more practical skills and theory is also very vast. The exams will be difficult if you do not attend the classes regularly and didn't able to do practicals because the exam level will be high and the paper will be lengthy. You have to learned writing skills focused on quality of writing except quantity means do not write up to fill just the papers because it's not work here. You have to write all the aspects in detail but also maintain the quality.

Internships Opportunities

You enrolled as interns or laboratory assitant and projects like gene cloning , signature sequencing , genomic fingerprinting , culture different types of microbes and many other projects where you research and do culturing and sequencing

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees of microbiology course is 15205/year and exam fees will be approx ?2000/semester. Full Four year course fees will be 76000. There is provide a financial scheme by Delhi university where you fill the form and when you fullfill the all eligibilty then you applied for it according to your application they analyze and refund your fees. The internships will be gave to students in the 2nd year which information will provide by your professors and you can also apply for yourself like in IISER [ Indian Institute of Science and Research ] and there are many more industries which gave you internships. You job as professor or as lab assistant or many else.

Campus Life

Belle Epoque 2024 is the annual fest and many more festivals, competitions for different departments will be held regularly. The all references books were in the library and the journals also. You have also online access of library where you have soft copy of Many books. There are 5,6 labs of each department and projectors available in the class and labs. We issued microscope for observations and also issued laptops for presentation to gave your identity card to the lab assistants. There are many sports activities is available like cricket, football ground and badminton facilities.

Admission

B.SC. (H) Microbiology is the best department of Swami Sharaddhamd College. All the Professors are very kind and helpful. Cuet exam qualified students will be eligible to take admission in Swami shraddhanand college or any college of Delhi university. Cuet exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency [NTA]. Here is the website to take register in CUET exam : https://cuetug.ntaonline.in All B.SC. courses have same eligibility your 12th from science stream with overall 55% and CUET subjects will be PCMB or PCB or PCM as the respected courses in which you interested to enrolled. The Cut off in CUET of microbiology department was approx 90% above. I didn't like when some colleges will reject the documents at the last timing because of the minor mistakes.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Cource curriculum is highly relevant. It covers fundamental and advanced concepts of zoology , which was the main reason I choose this course. Subjects like human physiology, biochemistry, biomolecules, comparative anatomy of vertebrates, animal behaviour, ...etc. are highly interested and align with my interest. i dont like any thing in this college
