- If students are dedicated for study college will help them to getting placed at TCS, WIPRO, Cognizant, Accenture.
- Any student does not studied at 12th standard and he has potential UEM is the second opportunity for him.
- College have fully equipped classrooms and labs as well as huge library.
Dislikes
- Facilities are not top-notch many of the computer labs are full with faulty computers and college is in growing days the infrastructure was not good.
- Placement preparation strategy need to change . College need to give more exposure and resources to the students.
- Faculty members are generally competent ,but some may lack sufficient expertise. Additionally, certain higher authority members exhibit inappropriate behavior towards students.
Course Curriculum Overview
The Specific aspects of the CSE curriculum that storngly influenced my decission to persue this course were its dynamic nature and its alignment with current technological trends. CSE curriculum focus on partical application through hands-on projects,internships and industry collaboration adequately prepared me for real-world scenarios.
Internships Opportunities
College does not provide that much internship opportunities . They provide placement support for the eligible students .But college gave time to the students for upskilling and doing internship at semester brake. Companies who select candidate for the placement they provide internship to the students. comapanies are TCS, Accenture, Cognizent, Wipro, LTIMindtree etc.
Placement Experience
This College is mainly known about its strict curriculam and Placement . From 3rd year end students are eleigible for placement but mostly placement done at 7th semester onwards. Nearly 90% above students got placed every year but 2024 scenario is different 30-40% students placed only. TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, Accenture, LTIMindtree and many startups visits the college.
Fees and Financial Aid
UEM,Kolkata fees structure for B.tech- 5.6L-6.4L(total). Scholarships are very limited 95% aggregate or above at X&XII get 100% scholarship.90% or above at X&XII get 50% Scholarship. 85% aggregate or above at X&XII get 25% Scholarship. To continue this scholarship a student must present within top 5% or top 10% in the program.
Campus Life
Urecon is techno management fest conducted at UEM,Kolkata. The fest was conduct to showcase students creative idea and prototypes to the tech world . The anual cultural fest of Uem kolkata ECSTASIA as the grandest and most anticipated fest. Library is very good and any type of books are available .
Admission
University Of Engineering and Mangement, Kolkata admission 2024 is opne now . In class 10th and 12th 75% marks needed . IEM-JEE exam conducted by UEM,K after qualifying this exam anyone can take admission.Fees and Document verification was done at the time of admission . 1st year total fees-1.71 lakh.
