Likes

a healthy and greeny environment is present in my campus ..
students are so intelligent and they give us tough comptetion which is very good for learning ..
here we see different culutres because students are come here from different states and country..so we learn a lot from each other..

Dislikes

some teachers are so strict and rude .. they dont treat us as a friend..
hostel warden is soo strict and they do not give us enough freedom which makes me boring in night..
girls are not beautiful in my college so i miss my girlfriends which is very bad for boys..

Course Curriculum Overview

i choose this course because i want to make my future in engneering field.. Teachers and also club members help a lot in acadmedic and other circulum activities ..they provide us personality development classes and also they make us better in sports and fighting..class timimg should be try to less and also share marketing and trading comes in studies .. frequency and timing of exams according to me is good ..

tution fees per semester 50000 //so net college fees for b tech 400000.. we take loans and study here .. also scholarships are provided here like all india national scholarship, vivekananad scholarship etc. many staffs, guards, mess members , clubs members , caretakers ,hostel wardens etc work here with a good salary..

Campus Life

arrohan , e summit, virsat, vistaar , robozido, bollywho and many annunal and techenical fests are done in my campus .. our college library name is central library which is three floor and approx 5000 books are aviable there .. two big playgrounds are in my campus and many small playgrounds are also there .. football and cricket is mainly played here ..athletes are also oresent there ..

Admission

in jee mains the percentile we get ,according to this percentile our admission is done in nit durgapur. our admission is first done by online jossa counselling then we submit all the documents in offline mode.. all the admisssion process informatrion comes to us by our email id .. i am a obc cateorgy student so i get a minimum reservation benefits.. jee mains exam is quite easy and next i want to appear in gate exam .. i suggest the admission process is going fast because it takes atleast 2 months soo many canditataes irritate..

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

A GOOD COLLEGE WITH GOOD PLACEMENT , SPORTS FACILITY.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

The summary of my four years in one of the oldest colleges in India

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.

I applied for multiple NITs During Josaa Counselling but my top 5 suitable choice according to my home location and considering other limiting factors was NIT Rourkela, NIT Silchar, NIT Durgapur, NIT Patna and IIEST Shibpur. Apart from these, I have also Applied for Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. I have got approval from NIT DGP,Calcutta University and Jadavpur University. But I have chosen NIT because of better Placement records and better campus Life. Moreover it's an Institution of of National Importance and Hold a good NIRF rank. So I preferred this choice above others. I wasn't rejected from the above colleges, but simply i didn't get the eligible rank for them. And the 3 which I got, i choosed the best among them. The Admission process of NIT DGP was through Josaa and CSAB counselling. The College and the Branch will be alloted to you according to your rank in the JEE MAINS Examination. The Closing rank of this exam in 2025 of General Category for the lowest Branch in BTech is 63387. The overall admission process for the college, apart from hostel allotment, was completely online. 14-15 documents were to be submitted in pdf format in the specific website provided. I was getting all nits of india and also some iits.The only reasons of not choosing them is branch ,i was getting lower branches in all other colleges so i choose this. I think this was the best college onmy rank. NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

I applied to IIEST Shibpur and was getting ECE there but I chose this college because of its brand name, infrastructure and placement which are all way above shibpur. No I did not get any rejection form college I applied for. So the admission process is simple.You need to crack Jee Mains with a great rank to reach here.There after you need to go through the Jossa counselling and if you get a seat here you need to confirm and pay initially some fees to get a seat in this college.The overall admission experience was very much smooth because of the whole process being shifted to online and thus students do not have much difficulty....Read More
