Teaching system and fees structure is very friendly and what the teacher teaches is enough to get a good gpa
Cultural programme are often takes place here students all together arrange it
Campus is very clean and environment is good and greenary can be seen

Dislikes

Their is a lack of maintenance in hostels
Sports aren't takes place regularly and not having any clubs for doing extracurricular activities
Not enough teachers there in each department

Course Curriculum Overview

Any student who having interest regarding food management and milk products can take this course , a student can apply for food safety officer post after getting the degree. Our faculty is well maintained and having a proper secured environment students from other states come here often to study as it is a government University.... University fees is very low and also a scholarship is given to every students ( money amount 60k). Every teacher are highly qualified and having PhD degree mostly of them has done their graduation from this University and then mtech and PhD from foreign or IITs. Like other Btech courses this course is a little much tough as you got 7 to 9 subjects for each sem and having 7 sem and 8th sem we have to go for internship. For passing it's not much difficult a avarage student can easily pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every sem you have to pay 5700( for hostellers) and 4700 ( for day schollers ) , their is no tusion fee what the teacher of faculty teaches is enough. A scholarship ( SVMCM) is given to all students. A job is secured from campusing and also you can apply for many other jobs as well as government jobs after getting degree.

Campus Life

Our university having no political issues and only a student well fair committee run by students only. Faculty having its own library and students don't have to buy any book they can get it from there. There is a big play ground present where students can play and some times fets as well as festivals also celebrated here.

Admission

Any one could get a chance by giving the west bengal joint entrance examination or by ICAR ( for other state students). A student having a rank within 30k can get a seat for this University. Otherwise after the counselling is done by wbjee , our university conduct decentralised counciling from where a student of having more ranking can get a seat. During counselling you have to choose the university name with course name and then from counselling you can get other informations. Their are 44 seats available with in which 3 seats for OBC b and 4 obc a , 15 unreserved, 10 sc , 3 st , 2 PWD and 7 for ICAR.

A comprehensive review of MAKAUT , WB

Placement Experience:

from 6/7 th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placements. Infosys visited with around 22-23 offers , Cognizant visited with arount 15-16 offers , TCS visited with several offers(not sure how many) , that's it the big names. Apart from these small startups and companies visited too. Highest package offered was 11lpa by TCS , 9.6lpa by infosys, 6.48lpa by Cognizant. Profiles were ASE in TCS , PAT in CTS , SET in Infosys. The percentage of students placed was less arount 30-40% , mostly because the curriculum lacks placement prep. I have joined Cognizant as a Programmer Analyst Trainee after graduating .

ELIGIBILITY FOR CAMPUS PLACEMENT: At Brainware University students generally become eligible for campus placement from the final years of their course. For many programs placemnet preparation sactivities such as aptitude training, soft skills development, resume building, mock interviews begin earlier, you can say that these activities are incoporated from the 1st semester itself. COMAPINES VISIT: Several reowned and reputed compaines from IT, management,healthcare,media, and core sectors visits the university for campus recruitment. Placement drive include companines from domains such as software services, consulting,education,sales digital marketing etc. For my domain CSE AIML companies like Infosys,Amazon,Cognizant,Adobe etc visits. Each year multiple students receive job offers through campus drives and some students also secure multiple offers depending on their skills and performance. HIGHEST AND AVERAGE PACKAGE OFFERED: The highest package offered varies by course and recruiter and also with top performing students receive highest packages based on their role requirements and skills. It range from 12 LPA to 45 LPA. The average package offered to students is competitive for a private university and aligns with industry standards for entry level roles. These generally range from 3.5 to 8 LPA. PRECENTAGE OF STUDENTS GETTING PLACED: Placement outcome mostlky depend on academic performance, attendance, communication skills, technical knowledge, and participation in training sessions. Students who actively engage in placement preparation have better placement success. About 98% students were placed in 2023. Placement was average if you have good background knowledge so you will definitely get placed. After 7th semester companies started coming and also there is different criteria for all companies like some company required more than 8 CGPA that completely dependent on company preferences. The average package is 3.5 lpa .Most of the student get hired by tcs. Placement success based on branch and skill.

The placement cell of my college is very strong.From 7th semester students become eligible for campus placements.There are around 50 companies visited in the college such as TCS,Intel. Microsft. Deloitte,etc.205 students are placed in TCS in year 2019. 415 students are placed in campus placement last year. Maximum CTC was 25 lacs/pa and average CTC was 5.5 lacs/pa previous year.After Jadhavpur University,the average CTC of the college is higher than IEM. Above 95% placements for IT,CSE and ECE students.There are around 55-60% placements in other department.My plans are doing some great things after getting the degree.

I choose the college because Dairy Technology is itself a thriving course and career and our university ranks second among all dairy universities. It also provides an satisfaction to study in Biology stream who cannot clear Neet exam. This university also provide free transport facility that isthrough its own University Bus from Kanchrapa station (nearest station) Mohanpur campus and from Belgachia University Campus to Mohanpur campus. Comparatively it also gives a well to do packages. The political intervention or political choas are not present which is a great problem to most of the universities in West Bengal and in India. It is one of the best colleges for BFSc course. First of all a online application has to be filled up, then a merit list is published by the university based on the 10 + 2 percentage of the students.
