- Infrastructure was also good with two play ground, gym etc

Dislikes
- Campus is good but availability of hostels for master student is not good only few student get the hostel
- Our department is not connected directly with the placement cell which stops companies to come for the placement
- Faculty to student ratio is low therefore one of the subject in every semester is thought by the teacher who is not a master of that subject
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because the field study was very good. I think it is one of the best institutes that conducted field for 21 days successfully. Faculty: student ratio is a bit low. All the faculty are very well qualified. The exams are taken on time and the results are declared super fast.
Internships Opportunities
You can join the companies for internship during summer or winter break. ONGC, MOIL, TATA, JK LAKSMI CEMENT and many others companies are there, So you can apply for it. Or you can join internship in our department in hydrogeology, Remote sensing, IGNEOUS PETROLOGY. here I'm strictly talking about APPLIED geology department. And yeah many DST project are there so you can join it as intern.
Placement Experience
This year in jan -feb, four seniors from our college got a placement of 35.5 (36 lakh approx). They are placed in a software company which is in New York. They are from the CSE and IT departments. Also, students from the mechanical branch were placed with 12 Lakh per annum. Students from the chemical and metallurgical department got a good placement in this three to four year. NIT RAIPUR SECURED 5 place overall NIT’S in average placement this year. One off-campus placement is also secured a placement of 50 lakh per annum. So, these are some awesome placement records to date we are having in our college. But again for the applied geology department, the placement was not good among 19 students 2-3 students got placed this year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The yearly fee was around 85k- 86k per year. Once can pay the fees semester wise. All type of scholarship is available according to your eligibility. Campus placement for the applied geology students is bit low as compared tho other courses
Campus Life
The campus life is very nice. Eclectika was the name of the annual fest which is conducted in February every year. The library is very large and so many books are available here so you can utilize that things. Annual sport (SAMAR) was also conducted every year so you enjoy so many games and pursue it. Apart from it you can join so many clubs like SAMAR, RAAGA, CLICK CLUB etc
Admission
Currently, the admissions are taking place on the basis of graduation percentage, more specifically the marks obtained in geology in graduation for the M. TECH applied geology department. Admission to Btech courses is based on JEE EXAM AND OTHER master courses are on the basis of JAM and NIMCET.
Interview Experience
The admission is done only on the basis of graduation% no GD OR INTERVIEW was conducted during the admission process. Yeah at the time of admission they will ask few questions like why you choose geology, etc
