Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose mechanical engineering because of the strong core engineering fundamentals and institute's reputation in mechanical engineering. The curriculum is well structured and fairly comprehensive. Each semester generally includes mid-semester and end-semester exams.

Internships Opportunities

4

Phonepe, globallogic, ZS, Seimens energy, JSW , JSL , BPCL, JSPL, and some other companies offered internship role for the student. My project was solar energy extraction optimization using ASHARE model.

Placement Experience

3

From 7th sem student become eligible for campus placememts, ZS Assosiates, Phonepe, JSW, JSL and the average package was around 6 LPA . For mechanical engineering branch highest package was 16 LPA (Phonepe)

Fees and Financial Aid

I studied at NIT Raipur and belong to the OBC-NCL category.Iwas eligibe for tution fee remission. In first year,I paid 13000 rupees, from the second year onwards,I paid 9000 rupee per year.My bachmate from general category and annual income above 800000 were not eligible for the tution fee remission, paid apprex 1300000 for the complete course.

Campus Life

3

Annual cultural fest is SANSKRITI, annual technical fest is AAVARTAN, annual sports fest is SAMMAR, all the fest held around January and february month. All the classroom is equiped with digital board.

Admission

I did apply to NIT Rorkela, NIT Nagpur, NIT Jaipur and I got a confirmed admission from NIT Raipur ,I did choose because of good faculty and decent placement history.I was rejected was other colleges because of my JEE rank.

Faculty

3

I studied at NIT Raipur,Where the faculty to student ratio is resonably good, roughly around 1:20,depending on the department .I liked a few faculty members who focused on conceptual clarit and practical applications rather than rote learning.Like any institute ,there were few faculty members whose teaching style felt too theory heavy.

Night Life

3

In college campus there is gym , cafeterias, canteen, and some other public area where student can hangout.Hostel timing was very strict. Famous hangout place is playground, cental garden , chaupati and some other place.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. College don't taught the update curriculum like nits, iits . But it's upto you which college to you choose . 2. College also give practical experience of theory in their labs. 3.Teaching method is good but course is too out dated. 4. End semester examination Don't occurs on time.Exam are held early or sometimes late.

Placement Experience:

Students can take part in campus from last year /7th semester onwards. There is no such company who has organised campus drive and has not to recruit a single student. The highest package is offered by WIPRO of 10.2 LPA and average package is 3.00LPA. About 80% of the students get palced in the recruitment drives. My plan after getting degree is to work under architect/engineer so that I can gain more knowldege related to my field and furhter keep preparation for govt. exams.

Overall the college is good for study but not the best. Although they teach good in some courses but as the lack of the students college does not feel like the college. If the college had the more students then the situation would have been different.
