Course Curriculum Overview
I opt for this couse because I get a varied number of couses to choose form , for pursuing higher studies. The number of faculty is 15, and total number of students is 107. Therefore faculty:student ratio is approx 1:7. Majority of our faculty is a doctorate on their specific subjects. The professors give their best to make us understand the concepts in class. We also have practical classes, and we are also given lots of assignments. After 2 months of begining of semester we have mid term examinations, then we have practical and viva exams and after a month we have end term exams. Concepts taught in class are mostly given in the examinations. If someone studies thoroughly all the notes provided and studies all the books suggested by the professors he / she can get good marks.

Students get training program of the subject farm machinery in Northern Region Farm Machinery in Hisar, Haryana or in NERFMTTI in Assam, or in Central Farm Machinery Training and testing Institute in Budni, Madhya Pradesh; soil water conservation in Soil Water conservation training center in Koraput, Odisha or IISWC in Dehradun; food process engineering in internships in companies like Britania, Amul etc with a stripend of approx Rs 5000 monthly; and educational tours to places like CMERI in Durgapur, West Bengal. In addition to these we are also taken to visit various dairy farms, poultry farms etc.
Placement Experience
From fourth year i.e, 6th semester, students are eligible for campus placements. Mostly NGOs and fertilizer companies visited. Due to covid there is no placements for many years. Mostly students opt for securing jobs by giving exams by TCS, banking ( SBIPo, IBPS) etc. I want to go for higher students through GATE Agricultural examinations.

The fees for the course is Rs 13000 per semester, if you stay in hostel you have to pay additional Rs 100 along with the semester fee. If you are staying in hostel then you have to pay mess bill which is worth Rs 1800 (75% - which is compulsory to pay monthly) + remaining 25% (Rs 40 / meal multiplied by number of meals taken). I appeared for the WB-JEE examination. As I didn't sit for the WB-JEE counselling, I got enrolled on this institution through decentralized counselling. I was selected on the first decentralised counselling as the process is done by shortlisting the candidates for the counselling on basis of general merit rank of WB-JEE exam. The application form to sit for the counselling is available on the university website (www.ubkv.ac.in) . There is no application fee, and the dates within which the application form needs to be submitted is mentioned in the notification present in the website. The list of selected candidates are divided on the basis of categories like general, sc-st, obc. Based on the number of vacant seats present the candidates are selected. There is a reservation for students under the category of TFW. Such benefit is given to 2 students in the whole class after a through check of all required documents required.
