Course Curriculum Overview

3

honestly Delhi university is quite overhyped. I found it that it is equivalent to any central university, but the exposure you get from here that is very priceless. the faculty member are good and student ratio is mine in my class. There are around 80 students and they are two sections in the BA honours political science section. I choose the course because I want to get into civil services. The qualification of the faculty and the teaching which is quite effective. Most of the teachers are assistant professors as we are in semester one. They have done PhD in the stream, the exams were done exams postponed and were done in the year end period and it was not as difficult as I expected

Fees and Financial Aid

as this is the government university. The fees is quite very affordable for any lower middle class or even the lower section of the people. It is very affordable for them. Also the annual fees is 16,000 for my college which is Satyawati College, Delhi University, but the fees of the entire university, including all the colleges varies from 10,000 to 30,000 for all the courses. All all the streams and all the programs. The university also offers scholarship for students who cannot afford the fees. They are also campus placement for various programs like the com corners and many other streams. It depends on college to college if it provides placements on that program or not.

Campus Life

4

honestly university, one thing which it lacks the most is the life at campus. The infrastructure is not quite up to the mark and it is not like the state of The Art infrastructure but but according to the fees it's reasonable, the society are very useful if you are if you get admission in the college. You should take part in the societies which are in the college. They are very useful for your overall holistic development. there are many student run organisations like Sankalp and you can also be part of NCC and NSS which is national service scheme and take the benefit out of it and it will foster your holistic development.

Admission

the admission process by the new entrance examination which is central University entrance is quite effortless. After giving 12th exam. You have to give one sentence which is nationwide joint tension, joint engine intense examination for all the students the examination is conducted by the UGC and NTA jointly. NTA is the national test testing agency, which also host JEE and UPSC examination. I personally did not avail the reservation benefits as I am in the general category. You can find the examination form and application form every year around me to June. When the CT examination dates are announced so yeah it is very easy process.

placement and internship fares are regularly conducted on campus where various companies which are mostly start-ups visit to recruit students for internships and entry level roles. Students become eligible for internships from the first year itself. placement opportunities are generally available after the completion of the full degree and only final year. Students are eligible to apply for full-time rules. last during our last internship and placement fair over 20 companies visited and recruited almost 150 candidates. There are no separate records distinguishing internship from placement. The highest package reported for economics honours is around 12 lakhs per annum and the average package is approximately five lakhs per annum. As per my future plans,I intend to pursue a masters degree after completing my undergraduate course.

For USME, FMCG and Financial companies are the ones which are put in place. The only reason is that those are the companies where we can add value and placements of both courses of USME happens together and combined if I say around 75% students are placed. My plan though is to join GIPE after my graduation ends this year.

DTU because East campus is more known for USME placements revolve around us. Now core companies of our sectors are the ones that deals with finance, insurance or stocks. So nearly 20-30 companies of that space or sector hires over 100 students of BAE every year.

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.
