Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I want to pursue B Sc as a Physics major and the University of Delhi is very reputed. So I choose this course. Faculty:student ratio is 1:3. Teachers are qualified and have good knowledge in their respective fields. Exams are very easy to pass.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees is very low compared to other colleges for the same course, around Rs12000 per year, further, you have to pay an examination fee at the time of registration for examinations. Scholarships are not provided further if you are a meritorious student in your 12th board then you can avail Inspire scholarship.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is very good as Delhi University is famous for its diverse culture. Several clubs are present in the colleges for the skill development of students. Fortunately, the library of the College is the largest among all the colleges of Delhi University.

Admission

Earlier there was no test for admission, merits were announced on the basis of marks in the 12th class admission place but now CUET is organized on the national level, and based on that admissions are taken.

The average placement is 10.4 lakhs but the thing is that , placement is not offered to every course and seats are very limited and students from bsc stats and bcom are usually the one with better placement rates..

Campus Life:

The Fest organised by this college is Priyadarshini and the annual fest Rajnigandha. The Fest are not great in comparison to other du college and are not that much celebrated. There are many different kinds books present in library like literature,Hindi, Chemistry, Maths, zoology, biology, botany, political science, History Geography the books are only alloted till 12pm and only for 15 days after that you will be charged if book is not returned Sports and Extracurricular are good but classrooms are not that great most projectors in classrooms don't work . There are many good societies in college like jamini the art society and others but joining has caused students to leave their classes which affects them academically

Course Curriculum Overview:

Exams are only held once per semester, the IA marks are based on class tests, presentations, lab work and attendance. The syllabus and core curriculum are the same for all the DU colleges. Relevance pretty much depends on you; if you know what you signed up for and prepare accordingly, I can't see a reason why someone would find it irrelevant. Although some elective subjects (like sec and vac) might serve some outdated or irrelevant methods because they're newly introduced, and many DU colleges have this issue, but it's not extreme, some efforts from your side and some from the college's can ovecome this.
